Sig P36XL vs Glock 43X MOS

Ойын-сауық

In this video we compare two fine EDC pistols. Both the Sig P365XL and the Glock 43X fit a well earned slot for many users. Support us...gofund.me/70980c74
Both pistols are reliable, durable, and provide combat effective accuracy.
I've been using the SIg P365XL as my primary EDC pistol. However, the Glock 43X also has a lot going for it. In this video we discuss pros and cons of each pistol.
G43X Black
Chambered in 9mm Luger the G43X features a compact Slimline frame with a black slide. The 10-round magazine capacity makes it ideal for concealed carry.
Designed for comfort, The G43X combines a compact-size grip length, a built-in beaver tail and a subcompact-slim slide for a comfortably balanced, versatile grip that´s ideal for a variety of users.
The frame incorporates elements of the Gen5 and Slimline series such as the short trigger distance, a frame with a built-in beavertail, a reversible magazine catch and the incredibly accurate, match-grade GLOCK Marksman Barrel (GMB) and precision-milled front serrations.
SIg P365XL
The P365 redefined what a concealed-carry pistol should be, now the new P365 XL is doing it again. The perfect balance of micro-compact concealability with full-size shootability the P365 XL packs 12 + 1 or available 15 + 1 capacity in a micro-compact, highly concealable size yet maintains the comfort and shootability of a full-size pistol. The first P365 offered in the XSeries family, the XL comes standard with an extended slide, 3.7” barrel, and the brand new 365 XSeries grip module with extended beavertail and integrated magwell. The new slide and grip module only add about 1/2" to the overall length and height of the micro-compact P365, while increasing the capacity to 12+1 rounds of 9mm. It still maintains the crisp, clean P365 trigger pull, but with the “X” signature flat profile trigger that breaks at 90 degrees. Also standard are the signature XRay3 Day/Night sights with a rear sight plate assembly that allows direct mounting of the new SIG SAUER RomeoZero or the RMSc reflex optics. Never has so much versatility and capability been squeezed into such a perfectly concealable size.

I like the fact that you said, “They are both great”. Training is key to mastering your pistol and understanding how it works.

Sir, I completely agree with you. It is far more about proficiency with the particular tool that it is the tool itself. I had a student years ago who was 70 years old. She used a 10 shot 22 revolver. I can’t remember if it was Smith & Wesson or something else but she was unbelievably quick and accurate with that tool. Because of her arthritis, this revolver works better than semiautomatics for her. User proficiency that is gained through training and practice is really what matters. I personally wouldn’t choose a 22 for my self-defense needs, but I’m not gonna judge anyone else who’s able to perform extremely well when stress tested. Thanks again for commenting. I really appreciate it.

Except both are not great. The Glock 43X is a good gun. The P365 is suspect. You may get a good one, you may not.

What a good video! Sigs are great, quality firearms. I love Sigs! They are well worth the retail price and people who buy them appreciate a well-crafted, fine firearm. I could not agree more with their judgement. I've owned 3 Sig pistols over the years and I am apparently that extremely rare person who, when shooting a Sig can't hit the broad side of a barn from the inside with the doors closed. The 365xl is a wonderful pistol and 2 friends of mine who have them absolutely swear by them and for many good reasons, not the least of which is that they shoot them proficiently. I have a G43X with Ameriglo steel night sights (which I don't particularly care for.) It ain't as purdy as a Sig, but I am proficient with it and, as you aptly pointed out: these are tools. I greatly appreciate your "I'll be me and you be you and everything is fine that way" perspective on these subjects. It makes for a clearly objective comparison. Cheers.

Mike, thank you so much for taking the time to comment. I also own a few Sig pistols. I find them durable, reliable, and accurate. With the hammer fired versions, I find the bore axis is higher than I prefer. However, the P365 XL seems to fit my hand pretty well. As you pointed out, it really comes down to finding tools that will work for you and that you can be proficient with. It’s never about a specific brand or make. Or at least it’s not for me. Thanks again for taking the time to comment. I hope you will subscribe and share the channel with friends and family if you haven’t already. Stay safe.

I have a 365 XL and the biggest con with it is the take down lever. I have a injury to my strong hand thumb and can't use that hand and I can't move that lever with my weak hand. When it's time to clean, I have to get out the pliers. I have never run across a Glock or.S&W that I couldn't easily take.apart.

Sir, I am so sorry to hear about your physical disability. I have my own challenges with my handicap on my left hand and arm. I personally don’t have any problem, releasing the takedown lever, but we all have to adapt to whatever circumstances we are faced with, and overcome them. I appreciate you taking the time to comment and share your perspective.

Thanks for the great video...they are both great guns. I had to put talon grips on my 43x, put ameriglo sights on, and overwatch trigger(I hate glock factory triggers). My question is how is the Cyelee red dot holding up? I saw it on your SIG in this video, thinking of getting one for my SIG P365x.

I'll man up and make a choice... I'll take a P365XL. The grip and grip angle of all Glock pistols are a no go for me, and plastic sights are just ridiculous. I would however pick a CZ-P01 over the P365XL.... Probably..

Thanks so much for sharing your insights on what works for you. As I’ve mentioned, i’ve been carrying the P3 65 for a good year and a half and shooting with it a fair amount. It’s proven itself to be reliable durable, and has very good ergonomics. That being said, I’m going to be working hard with the Glock 43X to gain the level of proficiency that I want. Block has proven itself to me over three decades, as being reliable, safe, durable, and accurate. I think people get hung up on specific brands or makes and get very emotional about them. I really don’t have about a tool. If the tool works consistently, I’m open to giving it a try. Thanks again for taking the time to share your insights and perspective with the channel.

Glock vs Sig's budget line 320/365 , Glock all day=reliability ....Sig 320/365 is the opposite , goes off on it's own in the holster , not allowed in some ranges because it's unsafe , fires out of battery/explodes , never passed 'all" the mil spec tests (like the 226 did and glock) ..

Thank you so much for sharing your perspective. Have not heard of the P3 65 going off randomly in Holsters. I am aware of the 320 issues and that’s one of the reasons I don’t own one. Bottom line it all comes down to training and proficiency. Whatever pistol you choose, you must confirm that it is reliable, safe, durable, and accurate. Thanks again for commenting!

Stop with the stupidity. Guns don’t go off on their own. Show me ONE instance of an Sig going off on its own…WITHOUT the trigger being manipulated by a $hitty holster, junk in the trigger guard, etc. I’ll wait. Til then, grow up.

Yes, I’ve been fighting that for years. Could just be my smallish hands which rub up against the trigger guard. However, I have found grip productions and undercuts on the clock pistols make them significantly more suitable for me. That being said the block 43X is a good option for concealed carry.
