    Once again another A++ review. In my opinion It looks like FN took far more time in designing the frame and overall ergonomics than Sig did. The takedown lever, slide stop, and mag release seem to be more integrated into the frame and it has a more refined look where as Sig just seemed to slap them on after they designed the frame and they don't really look like they belong there. Same goes for the contouring lines around the accessory rail (dust cover area on the Sig). FN just seemed to put more into the design and finish aspect. I understand the goal for Sig was more modularity on this model and the configurable frame could even be considered a replaceable (throw away) part but these definitely aren't cheap so would prefer to get a little more "fit and finish" to go with my function. Just my 2 cents

    Great review. Just a couple things for future owners to consider. The price of the FNSC is $100.00 less than the Sig and that is with the night sights. The slide bearing surface is twice as large on FN vs. Sig. Sig now offers Pic rails for the compact model. The mag collar removes on the FN allowing magazine to be used in their full size counterparts. Gloved fingers fit in FN trigger guard more easily. FN has flared mag-well. The FN has different grip back-straps to choose from. The Sig is great no doubt. But for for the money you get true ambi, three mags, night sights, adjustable grip on the FN.

    meditech >>> agreed. The FN is superior in so many ways. Plus, the lower bore axis will be appreciated when these firearms are offered in the more powerful .357 SIG and .40 S&W variants, and, which company has a better safety track record ... meaning that they haven't had numerous misfire issues, double-ejection issues, etc etc.? FN is also a better company that delivers better safety and has more respect for it's customers.

    I would say the reason the P320 seems to shoot flatter than the FNS even thought the bore axis is about .5" higher is due the top heavy balanced weight distribution. I've noticed the P320 line is heavier than other polymer striker, and I think that weight differential is by design. You can also get the medium grip module for a better grip, as I will be doing when I get the caliber change to sub-compact .357 Sig. The medium grip module also has a rail on it. Just got my P320 in Full Size .40 for competition. Can't wait to take it to the range. Thanks for your detailed reviews on these! Keep'em commin'!

    Great video! I'm curious to see if other sights (mainly front sight) on the FNH would help with its long range (25 yard) accuracy. I just rented it this morning and found sight acquisition super quick, but it lacked precision [in my opinion, due to its larger size]. Great for close range shooting, but possibly lacking in long range? Also, Justin Opinion , maybe add MSRP or average price's as a topic point. Thanks for everything! Keep up the great work!

    Nice video a lot of good information, I think you could have done a better job of explaining the different grip options for both guns for new shooter information. Also for them, I think it would have been good to take out the Sig FCU and explain some of the modularity with exchange kit options better. In my opinion that would have made this a perfect video for all levels of firearm experience.

    Why would you test two different guns with two different ammo? It doesn't make any sense. What is more ridiculous is that you call the Sig a more accurate gun even knowing you were using two different ammo with totally different quality. When shooting the 25yd groups, is there a reason you didn't use the same ammo in each gun?

  • @JustinOpinionChannel

    @JustinOpinionChannel

    Terrill Williams I did. I typically shoot 5 groups of 5 shots each - each group with a different ammunition. I repeat it identically for both guns. In this video, rather than compare each one, I compared the best for each gun - which happened to be different brands of ammo (not uncommon). Hope that helps.

    2018-MAR-11 Dear Justin Opinion, Thank you for the well-prepared video comparing (2) two similar offerings, one from SIG-Sauer, and the other from FN. It seems that from your experience with the (2) two firearms, you have found them to be very similar in functionality, ergonomics and functionality. The FN comes with (1) one extra magazine, which can't hurt, but won't necessarily be the factor to discount the SIG. You found the SIG's trigger to be 'lighter'. Recoil seemed about the same, perhaps slightly better on the SIG's end ... and this comes despite SIG's higher bore axis (a trend that seems to be standard on all of their new offerings). How does one break a near tie? ... Here's how I would do it: 1. if these offerings are later made available in different and more powerful chamberings, namely like the .357 SIG and / or the 40 S&W, which one will likely better handle the recoil? It will be the one with the lower bore axis, the FN. 2. For EDC which firearm is better contoured? ... it is the FN. 3. Which company has a better safety track record? ~meaning it has not had issues with misfires, double-ejections, etc. etc. ... it is FN. FN = 3/3 pts. SIG = 0/3 pts. Dilema resolved. --Tactickle Shtooper

    I like the Sig better also. However, neither is a loser. Both are excellent. I shoot the compact. For me, when considering the P320 platform . . . striker fired, it cannot be topped. Just bought the O.D green compact module (med) for $36.00 at Midway. Seriously, it just doesn't get any better.

    While I own a bunch of pistol's and 4 of them happen to be sig's I find the P320C to be a damn good carry gun. I carry a 320C in 357 Sig everyday since it came out. The trigger on the 320C is great. It fits your hand just as a pistol should.

    +Justin Opinion If the P320 subcompact is only 1.1", and one website has it as 1.06", that's getting pretty close to some of the single stackers. I owned a Shield, XDs9, and PPS, but I sold them all because I like something a little thicker. I wonder how the P320 sub compares to any or all of those. That would make for an interesting comparison I think. 12+1 is a considerable advantage along with the extra surface area of the grip.

    thebigb39 Why not? Both guns are shooting it, so it neither favors nor hinders either one. I have a great deal of faith in my handloads and that is what I shoot most of the time (especially in matches). I always use factory to break them in, and for accuracy tests and other relevant things. I've had more failures with factory ammo over the years than I've had with my own. I get your point, but just offering my rationale.
