Siemens WG56 IQ700 powerSpeed washing machine - Cottons 30° mini load (short version)

This is the Cottons cycle with the mini load option selected. This is quite a versatile cycle. With a very small load, it will complete a 30° wash in around 35 mins, and 60° in 45. For a small load under 0.5kg it will perform two rinses with no spins, and a 30 second 1600 spin at the end. If it detects a larger load, it will readjust the time at the end of the wash and add around 10 mins. In this circumstance it will then perform interim spins to ensure the larger load is rinsed to a good standard. With this adaptability, it is effectively a “super quick” type option that can be added to a cycle.
It is a lot more flexible than the single wash option on Miele - for a start it lets you add up to 3 extra rinses, water plus, less ironing and pre wash. It is slightly less efficient than the Spin & Spray rhythm on Miele’s single wash, but still only uses less than 0.2kWH for 30°. Either way, both manufacturers have an interesting approach to this option.
The full model number of this machine is WG56B2ATGB.

    Thanks for your great video 👍 Thus actually looks like a great cycle. Of course people will say it should spin between the rinses. But actually with so few items I think not necessary. Great Wash action. I expected it to heat quicker.. why they didn’t put the heater on full Wack I don’t know.. but then I guess it’s to try utilise the enzymes in the detergent, so probably wise! Weird they added a 20 second door lock delay at the end. Does it also wait 20 seconds if you press pause? Looking forward to more 👍

    You’re welcome, and thanks your your comment :)x It’s not a bad cycle and a good alternative to rapid 15/30 for a small load. No interims is fine for such a small load, and it will add them if the load is heavier. The heater is kept on and maintains the temperature right until the end of the wash, so I think it still heats as quick but just cycles it in and off. That delay is weird - the last machine had a short delay between the cycle ending and the door unlocking but it wasn’t as long. If you press pause it does unlock straight away, so I think it must do some sort of water level/drum movement check before it ends the cycle.

    Wat willste mit so einer kleinen Beladung ein kurzes Schleudern bei so wenig Wäsche braucht man nicht zwingend ein Zwischenschleudern

    If the load is more than 1kg then it will do interim spins. You can also add up to 3 rinses if you needed to

    Do these still do 15/15 tumbles on a normal cottons program?

  • @TheWashHouse

    @TheWashHouse

    Жыл бұрын

    It depends on the load I think… it seems to tumble more one way using the steep side of the paddle than the other and doesn’t pause for long whereas the last one tumbled equally in each direction without much of a pause.
