SICU Series: Shock and Vasopressors

This video covers the basics of vasopressors and the surgical patient. We talk about why (SICU patient + pressors = norepinephrine), what the four types of shock are that you must know and how common each is, how to deal with undifferentiated shock in the acutely crashing patient, the different options you have when treating a patient with hypotension, the critical importance of adequate resuscitation, and finally we go through the different types of pressor options/the receptors they affect as well as a default step up protocol for pressors.
