Sickest Color Combo BMW M3 Getting Ready for a Drop

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Welcome to the Studio Motors KZread Channel. You are watching Sickest Color Combo BMW M3 Getting Ready for a Drop.
This week we are lowering my buddy Erick Khans Green G80 M3 Competition on some KW Height Adjustable Springs and adding some carbon accessories which are coming soon. Man is this a sick color combo for the G80 M3! Isle of Man Green is just amazing as it is but with the Kyalami Orange Interior, and the M Carbon Bucket seats, it's just wild.
The KW H.A.S Kit stands for Height Adjustable Spring Kit and is one of the best ways to lower a G80 M3 without going with a full coilover kit. The KW HAS kit includes shorter and harder bump stops for extended travel, replacement perches which threaded for the G80 M3 height adjustment of your choice, and progressive coils which retain your factory ride height.
I wanted to show you guys the M3 Competition as it currently sits on the OEM setup, and next week you will see how it looks after the M3 is lowered on the KW HAS kit.

Those are some of the best looking if not the best looking carbon bucket seats on the market. The fact that they designed in a high level of adjustability just goes to speak to how Bmw always consider the driver. Cars are like pieces of art, and this color combo makes this sicko piece.

Yo I swear the grill on the M3 works. Its super unconventional but you get used to it and might eventually even love it. How do you feel about the new M2's front end?

@@StudioMotors It is weird too but the back is even worse. So blocky. Looks like something my kids built out of legos.

Looks like it has carbon ceramic brakes. What does Studio Motors think of them? Worth the premium?

Absolutely love ceramic brakes on a sports car. The type of bite they have over steel rotors is very noticeable, but you do have to make sure you warm them up when you leave the house. They need heat to work well. Aside from being an awesome brake that lasts long, they leave minimum brake dust and it very noticeable. Your wheels stay cleaner much longer. The two down sides are the cost of replacements and they are noisy. They are known to squeak much more than steel. But all in all I’d go for them on any sports car that offers them as an option. If you do a lot of track days they are going to get very expensive to replace. A lot of amateur drivers will run steel rotors on track days so they don’t eat away the carbon ceramics.

@@StudioMotors Thank you for such a thorough reply. I'm on a waitlist to order and M3, looking at the same color and trying to decide about those brakes. They are definitely a larger chunk of change but I hear so many good things about them. Silly question but do the pads have any sort of carbon in them?

  • @StudioMotors

No worries, happy to help! Typically carbon rotors will be paired with carbon pads as well, they don’t use regular pads but I have not dug into BMWs carbon ceramics in detail to tell you exactly what pads they use. I will mention tho, the cost is well worth it if you are going to lease or finance the car. If you wanted to upgrade to similar brakes, the aftermarket cost is just as high if not higher and it can’t be financed so you’re paying $10k plus out of pocket for a brake upgrade. And keep in mind they are significantly lighter than the regular brakes. A few pounds dosnt seem crazy but the rotors spin along with the wheels so that’s rotational mass which is multiplied and makes a big difference in performance. Thank you for watching and the questions!
