Sick shirt! But dang, it's nothing short of genius to take something established and certainly works alone fine, and then put your own spins onto it; layering together a unique and untapped world of adventure and peril, which is all dependent on what you and/or I simply enjoy in our own media consumption is a brilliant idea! Catalyzing engagement and true exploration for not only your players to thrive off of, but to keep you as DM/GM deeply invested into continuing the lore and all the dopeness. Great ideas in this video man, now continue thy lore and all ye dopeness as well. ⚔🍺

Also, spicy ending. Also also, I have to maybe start being creative to actually give you real answers to the valid questions to your viewer base.

One thing that sounds a little silly but I highly recommend; if you ever find _something_ that strikes a chord with you, something that provokes an emotion out of you - save it! Write it down on a small notebook or a phone or anything, and essentially start a 'bank' of things you can draw inspirations from. A song, a scene in a movie, a chapter in a book, even something like a phrase or a quote; anything and everything that provoked a reaction out of you that you think you can utilize. Once you start working on anything creative, and you ever need inspiration or run into a wall, you can always dip into this 'bank'!

Thanks, man! I think "originality" is a big barrier for newer players & GMs. Learning this lesson really opened me up as a creator.

Loved this video! I have a pretty bad tendency to overthink things when it comes to GMing and worldbuilding, and I love the way you put the issue into words, and presented a super simple solution to it. I'm off to make a list of things that inspire me, and see if I can come up with a cool setting with a few of those!

I've been brewin' a world along with input from the group. It's a fantasy world centered around dragon souls as a source of magic. The fantasy races the players wanted to use determined the most influential of them. The gimmick is there are no humans.
