Your love made his outside beautiful again but its obvious that he was always beautiful on the inside and so intelligent. You seemed to have known exactly what he needed.

Beautiful again? That was a juvenile toucan it's gonna be awkward and its feathers will not be the same as when they are full grown. I mean he did have a broken toenail don't know if that will ever grow back the right way but he should be fine. But there was not really much wrong with the way he looked when she got him for his stage of development.

He’s beautiful. I literally gasped and said “awww” out loud when the box opened and he popped up. Why do people do that to animals? I’m glad he’s happy and safe now.

Most times people don't know how to care for exotic "pets" and they treat them like they were cats or dogs. I've seen people have monkeys and feed them inappropriately, which caused malnourishment and they were kept in a closet. It's really sad.

​@@giupinkfairy This is sadly true. Even people buying from pet stores can be clueless and put parrots in round cages. DON'T KEEP PARROTS IN ROUND CAGES!! They need to climb and play when in there for sleeping or you're not home, and round cages makes that extremely difficult. Not to mention parrots need a lot of out of cage time and human interaction. Parrots are a lot of work.

Some people see animals as nothing but disposable entertainment. They think because they own it they can treat it however they wish. And unfortunately some of these people do the same thing to their children.

This was a rescue from a bad situation from someone that thought it was a good idea to have one for a pet. Toucans should NOT be pets.

I know how you feel. I ended up rescuing 4 parrots (three umbrella cockatoos and a severe macaw) because of how badly they were being treated. They were all under a year old when I acquired each one of them and I still have them over 30 years later.
