Work on the heal of your hand first, think of it as a kick drum. Slaming the pen flat is a snare and the tip is a symbol. Try that and it might help you out.

Guys its easy i learned it on the first day i saw it there are 3 main beats #1 tapping using the tip of the pen #2 smack that wrist area onto the desk #3 slam the pen flat onto the desk BTW it might be because of the desk u r penbeating on

School became so boring that even pen tapping has been created....

Watching this in 2022…brings back so many memories

Back in my school days I was unsurpassed when it came to table beats. My biggest inspirations were John Bonham, and Buddy Rich, amongst alot of other greats. I would try to mimic beats kinda like theirs, use the same type of sound so to speak. Had teachers coming up like damn you have some good beats, and when my friends wanted a beat to rap to, I was the go to guy. Miss those days, now I beat on tables and get yelled at by my mom for being to loud and annoying lol. But I still battle my brother almost every other day, just start beating outta nowhere and then the next, to next, hes an actual drummer though, so he beats me almost every time, but I still give him a good challenge for not being a active drummer like he is.
