(Sick) Federal Signal Thunderbolt 1003 | Hastings, MI | Full Attack | 4/2/22
After Belding, my father and I took the journey out to Hastings to film this 1003 which was in need of a fresh recording. This thing is in a lot worse condition than when it was last recorded. Pitch issues, rotational issues, a leak in its pipe, good lord. Could definitely use some fixing up, and I did not expect this at all. Always interesting when something doesn't work as normal. Enjoy!

Ouch. It takes ages to rotate even! Amazing echos also
Looks like water got in the blower somehow. Definitely not good, thats actually mist and water coming out the horn. Rotator is also very weak.

Rotator seems like it’s sm worse than the rotor which sounds quite healthy

Good question. It sounded fine 2 years ago, but that Saturday it did not sound great at all. Could just be water buildup, or an actual mechanical issue.

@@BellyJae the description mentions an air leak, so I would assume that there is a hole somewhere that’s letting water leak in
It even starts to rotate after a while!
I really hope they fixed it and didn’t yeet it into the siren graveyard
