Fully agree, with GRL GVNG make sure you do the video but also do either the dance practice or lyrics video to get the full song.

I hope XG performs in the southern US this year, but I don't mind flying somewhere else either. They announced their world tour the other day but US locations haven't been shared just yet.

XGALX is the label that they are uder. And they are called XG (extraordinary girls). 7 Japanese global girl group. 7 amazing dancers, 7 vocalists (all can sing), 4 rappers and 3 main vocalists.

Their concept is that they are aliens traveling to earth. All their MV's shows the journey they took to get here. Their debut track is Tippy Toes, that was just a warning of whats to come. Mascara is their first comeback. The alien theme started with Shooting Star followed by Left Right. A heavily R&B influenced track. Then came along these 2 tracks that are the intro on their recently released album New DNA. X-Gene is followed by GRL GVNG (Girl Gang). The MV is a teaser and why it's short meanwhile the original track is 3 mins long. Please check that out. Then after that is TGIF, New Dance and Puppet Show. Their discography has no skips since all their songs touched different genre's but still have the R&B and Hip Hop at it's core. They also have other contents that showcases their rappers, vocalists and dancing. They are called Tape, Vox and Move respectively. If you want to dig into the rabbit hole, hold on tight and you won't be disappointed at all. Can't wait for you guys to check out their contents.

People are going to suggest to start with XG Cypher but I say start from the beginning with all of their tape music videos since they're easier to digest in order and then their official music videos complemented with their dance performances. Welcome to the rabbit hole.

XG was trained for 5 years, 2017-2021. XG made their debut March 18th, 2022, with their first single "Tippy Toes" The youngest of the 7 is Cocona. Cocona will be 17 this month. Chisa is the oldest. Chisa will be 22 in January.

I'm not really a fan of girl groups in this industry cause I feel like all of them have the same concept, same vibe, same sounds and type of music. But after I first heard of them in 'GRL GVNG', I was like, Bro!! I'm already in love. Maybe I'm into hip-hop and rnb that's why I like them. And their dancing skills are insanely on point!! For me, they're better than those famous girl groups in this industry.👽

First time? Don't worry, that "What the fuck is going on? I didn't expect this!" reaction is normal with XG, we all had that - regardless which of their vids was our first. Nobody has told them how to make a bad song yet. Hesonoo and X-Gene are the two short intro tracks of their first mini album (and were until two weeks ago the only tracks without an accompanying video). As intros, they set the scene for the four main tracks and MVs - in that order: Girl Gang (about Arrival, featuring cyberpunk mermaids and other futuristic stuff), TGIF (about Evolution, featuring ... erm ... general weirdness), New Dance (about Exploration, featuring the coolest summer vibe I've come across in ages), and the final masterpiece Puppet Show (about transcendence, featuring a Buddhist hell and exploding spirits - I kid you not). The general theme is sort of aliens from outer space coming to earth. In a nutshell, XG is short for Xtraordinary Girls, their label is XGALX, which was more or less specifically created for them. Their debut was last year, technically they are still rookies. They are seven Japanese, age 17 to 21 as of now, who are based in South Korea and trained with the KPop idol methods ... to then perform NOT K-Pop, but instead mostly western style 90s/early 2000s rap and R&B oriented tracks. Modern old school, if this makes sense. Their main songs are all completely in English. I said main songs, because there are some sidelines to check out as well - the Tape series for their rap line (Jurin, Cocona, Maya, Harvey ... be sure to check Tape #2, it is legendary ... oh, and in the Tapes they rap trilingual - English, Korean and Japanese all mixed up) - the Vox line for the vocalists (Chisa, Juria, Hinata ... Vox #5 has all three together) - and the Move line for dance practice. As you may have realized with this performance video - they all are incredibly good dancers. It's up to you what to check out next ... just two final things: you are never prepared for what XG will drop next. Never. And you won''t be disappointed. They never miss.

I got into XG by clicking on one of their thumbnails that was interesting. I'm not really an Alpha because I'm not gonna watch all the documentaries that show their complete journey. Just know they're the survivers of a kind of idol bootcamp. So it's no coincidence that they dance like a dance crew and they can all sing. Even though Jurin, Maya, Cocona and Harvey make up the Rap Unit. You started with their most recent release. I would suggest you check out Tippy toes to see how fiercely they debuted! They are primarily Japanese. Harvey is Japanese/Austrailian and Hinata is Japanese/Korean. Maya is trilingual and I believe Cocona is as well. But Maya is the English speaking spokeswoman for the group. Some might recomment you watch the tapes in order to see the rap unit and the Vox in order to see the vocalists. But by starting with this one, you won't be as surprised as I was!

my fav xg song is left right but all of their songs are 🔥

They're mainly a pop group (4 rappers and 3 singers,) but their songs have different elements from other genres. This one for example had the drill elements, but other songs are more on the pop side. My favorite is "Left Right" which has a 2000s R&B vibe, would be a perfect choice for your next reaction! :)

All their original songs are in English because they aim to be a global group; therefore, they consider themselves as X-Pop (not J-Pop or K-Pop. There are 4 main rappers and 3 main vocalists. They can all dance dance as you’ve just witnessed. They do vocal covers in their VOX videos and rap tracks in their TAPE videos and dance in their MOVE videos. Their channel has so much content!!! Watching people discover XG & having their mind blown by the talent always puts a smile on face.
