Siavash: Imprisoned in Iran, traumatized in Canada

Siavash Safavi is a translator, former student activist, and political prisoner from Iran. He was sentenced to prison and lashing and had to escape the country in 2011. He arrived in Canada as a refugee in 2013 and in January 2017, he was labeled by the IRGC as one of the 30 traitors to the Islamic Republic for his opposition to the nuclear deal (JCPoA).

Well isxlam & sharia are all about oppression & violence. "Islamophobia" is a term that was coined to supress that truth from being spoken of in western countries. A phobia is also supposed to be in reference to a irrational fear in the traditional sense of the meaning of phobia & there is nothing irrational about it. Most muslims who study up on their religion & actually read the quran/hadiths in their language either become exmuslims or jihadis (terr**ists) Ive never heard of any inbetweens even though Im sure there are those ppl. I just go by the categories & explaination most exmuslims use, most muslims dont know the extent of their religion & are just "normal" people. Isxlamists that know their religion & not only the religious element of it but also the political element are the danger. Whether they are the type that doesnt use violence & just tries to infiltrate our government & schools etc or the other type which is your isis, hamas etc. That do try to exert their goals by violence both of that type are bad. But overall isxlams first victims are muslims & for those in countries with sharia or parts of sharia that learn & decide to leave the religion many have to just pretend to still be a "believer" to preserve their lives if or until they can get out of the country. If they let it be known that they are an exmuslm then in less than a week they will be hung from a crane when the morning call to prayer is sounding over the speaker (Iran, Saudi Arabi, Bahrain, Afganistan etc) & in less sharia compliant countries they will be arrested & still possibly off'd by someone either in jail/prison or outside & it will be made to look accidental (Morocco, Pakistan etc & in those that dont have sharia compliant governments they have to worry about their safety from mob "justice" also)

Is it that they want to rewind the clock? I think it’s that they genuinely think he is doing the work to become the leader. I got the sense a lot of people feel that he is genuinely motivated by wanting the best for his brothers and sisters, in the same way that Mosab Hassan Yousef wants the best for his brothers and sisters. I suspect the issue is not enough translated context for him to get a global understanding of where he is coming from.

I know about the Tudeh party --- that pushed for socialist Revolution against what some claimed was brutality by the Shah --- but i also heard some Iranians say _the Shah was not only mostly secular rule , he was moving towards more democratic rule_ . I heard that the Shah sometimes _angered the SAVAK secret police_ by trying to _block their excessive brutality_ . (If the Shah was actually improving and evolving his own governance, that would mean that the Leftist Revolution by the Tudeh Party was not only a disaster, but _pointless_ in the first place .. except that the Commies accused him of being aligned with "Western imperialism".) I knew about MEK, that their ideology was a combination of Stalinism and Islam --- and that the US sometimes supported MEK as some form of counterweight against the Shia Ayatollahs. I DID NOT KNOW that MEK would have been as totalitarian and brutal as the Islamic regime, but simply a different group. I should not be surprised. Mojahidin E Khalq. *I'm curious about any relationship between Tudeh and MEK* . Stupid Communists and ANTIFA used to actually defend Adolf Hitler and the Nazi party.

Abol-Ghasem Kashani and the Qom Marjeya backed the Shah against the Soviet quisling Mohammad Mosaddegh in 1953. Mosaddegh was a communist and would have destroyed Iran. @Yasmine Mohammed, Iranian ancient culture, ancient Arya or Aryan culture was vastly more liberal than what exists in Iran now under Khamenei the cruel. Iran was far more liberal in the 1970s than now. Iranian culture is a powerful force that can be used to weaken islamism and promote liberal islam (or agnosticism from your point of view.) In 1979 Iran was becoming increasingly liberal and was on her way to becoming one of the five largest economies in the world. To becoming a superpower that advanced liberal values around the world.

Democracy is overrated Yas. I was having this exact conversation with another Turk and everyone feels like democracy doesn't really work, it's overrated. Not in the ME anyway. So something like what the UAE has is great in the ME. It's not ideal (nothing is ideal) but it's hope. Democracy doesn't even work in the Netherlands. They can't form a coalition. So I used to believe in democracy but I have been questioning recently. Constitutional monarchy is definitely much better than this.

Religions are full of non sense; stay away from them and display humanity towards each other, and perhaps after we die there MAY???? be a loving Creator who shall bless us. I am a psychic, and expert healer, and do communicate with souls in the afterlife. These spiritual gifts have helped me a lot in knowing some of the secrets in the afterlife. There are some secrets I am not permitted to tell in order not to meddle with everyone's gift of free will. In the last days of, nuclear era, an Armageddon war will occur. It's a fight between the forces of evil and the forces of good. The religion created by the Lord Jesus will have a conflict with the religion of a man named Muhammad. Muhammad is not a prophet. Allah is not the name of God. A God has no beginning or end has no name. God's name depends on time. Muslims who have experienced death have proven to themselves that the Lord Jesus is a true man and a true God. However to say that the name of God is only Jesus is also not right. The teaching in Islam that Muslim women have no right to choose their future husbands and the vocation they want in life is not right. The teaching that a nine-year-old girl can already be sold by his father to a man for marriage is also not right. The teaching that a jihadist will have a gift of 72 virgins in heaven is very very wrong. There is no sex in the afterlife. Also, God is not that stupid to serve as a PIMP to these insane Muslims. Common sense will tell you whose religion is on the evil side. Please use it for the sake of world peace and to prevent the prophesied nuclear war. There will be an alignment of forces in the last few days. China, Russia, North Korea, and most Islamic countries are now making an alignment nowadays with their forces. Do you think they are the evil forces?

Yes, anyone who thinks this "religion" is a religion of "peace" cant use their brains in the slightest... It is painfully obvious what they seek and "teach", and what their "religion" has done to other countries. Their "god" has so many human traits and lust, dont you think? Says everything right there, about the truth.

All the World's religions offer no logical replies to the ensuing questions: 1. Why did God create the universe? 2. Why did God create humans of flesh and blood? It should have been better if God fabricated a spiritual dimension (with out a physical human body). 3. Why is there a corporal Heaven and Hell? 4. Is it possible for the soul to feel pleasure and pain (it is inanimate)? 5. Why does God put His mind on the level of a human mind (God is easily angered etc.)? There are many 'Why', but it is sufficient for today. 'Why' is never answered sensibly. THERE IS NO RELIGIOUS GOD.If there is a God, then It/He/She (gender, that's a laugh) is NOT the God of the world's religions. It is a mysterious God. A God of apathy.

God is good all the time, please don't let the evil one steal, kill, and destroy your perception of our Almighty ❤ As my side note, The Old Testament states God's wish for love, justice, and mercy among His Children. Even the violence in it is to protect the Israelites from becoming ensnared into the detestable practices of neighboring "tribes". If the Israelites would have allowed God to be their King, a choice only the majority could decide in God's amazing freedom, they would have in turn blessed the entire world and we would have paradise right here on earth... Slavery and the treatment of women, children, and even animals is fair and holy within God's protection; it is us (His free Children) who choose to turn away from God and forsake Him daily 💔
