My point was it played out the way he and Sia rehearsed for the most part, it's obvious that he does not have the range. My beef is that people are too quick to comment to the negative, disrespecting not one but two legends. Manners dictates not to say unkind things even if true. Judge away, however why disrespect is all I am posting here.... I guarantee you 95% of people there didn't know who David Byrne is which is sad. Talking Heads is one of the best, most prolific bands to come out of the late 70's & 80's.♥

Hay países qué no han podido exportar artistas por su influencia músical, por ejemplo el reggeaton, primero triunfa en Puerto Rico o en Colombia, y de ahí triunfa en México y EEUU. Así cómo artistas como Mon Laferte qué no triunfaron en su país, (Chile) sino en México. Es una de las razones por las que los artistas del nivel de Sia, no van a países como Chile, Perú, Bolivia, etc. Y el resto de LATAM. además los artistas como Sia son artistas caros por los qué vale la pena pagar, recuerden cuando llegó One Direction a LATAM. Una entrada en primera fila costaba cómo 250 dólares. (250 dólares cómo hace 13 años atrás)

Story time! I saw David Byrne with a friend at the Santa Barbara bowl a few years back. Incredible show! We we invited to the aftershow since I had helped the percussion tech with some items. My friend and I were surrounded by actors and musicians. He knew who the actors were (I had no clue) and I knew most of the musicians. Behind me I heard someone speak and I instantly knew it was Sia. I leaned over to my friend to ask if she was behind me. He had no idea who Sia was. I started laughing and turned around. I absolutely was her. She was talking to David. I wanted to say hi and thank her for her music, but I didn't want to interrupt or bother her. Absolutely surreal show and experience. Backing up a bit: Ibeyi opened the show. They were also amazing but a bit out of their element since most of the crowd had no idea who they were. I went to go get a beer before Byrne took the stage and Ibeyi were hanging out near the fence by the backstage entrance area. Since they were just hanging out I went over & said hi, and thank them for their music. They high fived me and were so nice. We talked for a bit about the show I had seen of theirs at the Ace Theatre in LA about a year prior. It was such a trip to get all of these experiences at just one show. It didn't seem real.
