So ... the last conversation was about Indian politics and what the BJP is doing etc and we actually saw a Youth Leader who wasn't saffron clad and shouting slogans, and you had some sharp questions for him (most of which he evaded anyways) and we learned some things in the process. But ... what was this conversation about bro??? Because I learned a grand total of 0 about what Congress is doing or wants to do. Why did you not prepare a sort of a script or some scathing questions for the grand old party? We all see it failing miserably in its role as the opposition and nothing seems to be galvanizing them into action despite setback after setback in elections. I come away with the feeling that the Congress is just waiting for us the people to eventually get bored of the BJP, and that's their ENTIRE game plan. This episode was meh.

Richie Dhillon Good point! But I think the point of this podcast is more inclined towards a comedy oriented talk show. It can't be helped that the conversation with the BJP youth took some serious and deep turns, mostly because of the guy's open-minded appearance, yet defensive attitude. Priyanka here, on the other hand, is more direct and actually pretty open-minded, or probably does a good job being one publicly at the least. So there was more room for an open minded yet light hearted conversation. Plus, the Host clearly has his beef (no political pun intended) with the ruling party. Also, the BJP rep was pretty quick witted. No wonder the conversation reached a serious turn.

Kunal Kamra, this guy gave me hope that yes, at least someone speaks sense, is unbiased and brutally honest with the prevailing conditions of our society, politics, and where we are. But after watching and critically analysing the interviews of Madhukeshwar Desai (VP- BJP Youth Wing) and Priyanka Chaturvedi(National Spokesperson- INC), it is evident that Kunal has a certain political inclination, no matter how enlightened or woke he pretends to be, disappointed! But yes, I have accepted the bitter truth, that we are an 'idiocracy' and will continue to be so for a long while.

I saw that interview as well and I liked it too. The interview with the bjp guy was way higher quality and much better. I agreed with some things the bjp guy said and some stuff that kunal said but overall it was nice. This interview was just boring, but why do you say there is an inclination visible? Yes, he did more questioning and serious questioning for the bjp guy, but I would have done the same, and I support bjp (in some things, not in others)

I laughed a lot when he cracked that joke. But I should not make my judgement on the basis of someone's satirical comment. Because satire just makes you feel good about yourself for being able to get the indirect references of a joke at that moment. Satire can be used both ways. To make you think about something(which is what should happen) or just make you judge a person (which is what happens.)

i don't think its jus luck..bcoz manmohan singh was also lucky..and he also had great qualifications and was also a good leader..but there was clearly no output. the only thing UPA2 could bring up was scams!! atleast we have a PM who speaks and also has a good PR team BJP has piyush goyal..suresh prabhu..all of them have clystal clear goals..for their respective portfolios.. congress had shashi tharoor in HRD ..kapil sibal..digvijay singh..what reforms did they do..which are visible in the grassrooot level atleast we are being told that something is happening.. INC did nothing man...atleast the least they could do was justice for 26/11 yeah if modi can be..then even yogi adityanath and ramdev can also be the PM of india because they are getting a clear majority in NORTH.... down south BJP never had any impact because of their communal politics.

As soon as I scrolled down, I noticed that many people have a common problem with this episode, i.e. Kunal didn't ask any questions that were up to the level of the questions that were asked to the Vice President of BJP youth wing. The reason why Kunal asked quite tough questions was simply because BJP is currently in power. You can blame Congress for corruption, types of politics etc... but that wont help the current situation. Its better to ask questions about the system to a person working for it, rather than blaming anyone for their wrong job in the past. Hate and debate on politics will go on forever. If you were to like any particular party, then that will make you dislike any good thing done by the rival parties. For example take Demonetisation or GST, people still go on saying that these are the two things that were the best thing to happen. That is because they are personally bias, the other reason is because they are tired of Congress, simply because they ruled for about 6 decades. Instead of looking at the merit of plans and acting on them as fast as possible government has to rethink not twice, but at least a thousand times. The reason is to highlight the demerits of it. And what most people talk about are the merits. Ask any person who likes Demonetisation or GST, all they say are the merits. If the demerits of GST and Demonetisation were actually considered, these things would or wouldn't be happening. If they did, then I am sure the plan would have been better. Today most political leaders take GST as a medal of pride and honour and some sort of service that they wear everyday, showing their contribution to the people of the country. It would be a social service or a better act by a Parliament, if there had been a proper calculation of taxation. If you don't know the impact of GST, just wake up and go down the lane and ask your Bhajiwala or any other shop. Ask them "Has GST affected you?" And acknowledge what they have to say. The party that one supports doesn't matter and should never matter. The point that he/she makes matters a lot. It doesn't matter who rules, what matters is what are their plans, how do they control, how are they going to make it better for a normal common citizen to live better and what measures do they take for the betterment of the country in all aspects. This is something many people have to learn and inject this teaching into their further generations, or else we people will keep fighting on political parties, religion, caste, etc... and getting corrupt day by day. What you see on the internet does not necessarily have to be the mindset of majority of the people. Be able to determine what's right and what's wrong. Have a good day dear brother/sister. 😊

What's the point of even interviewing the spokesperson of a political party if you aren't going to ask them about the party's policies and agendas and the their work? And actually people are criticising this interview because we have seen Kunal is a great interviewer who actually made Desai uncomfortable in the last video by asking controversial questions in a sarcatic way. But here, it seemed two BJP haters were just having a casual chat. I hate Congress, I hate BJP. I just came here to see a 'Congress wali' get as uncomfortable as I saw the 'BJP wala' get. Because I thought Kunal can actually try to get some answers on some controversial questions which the mainstream media doesn't even have the guts to ask. You can deny it as much as you want but this was a shitty interview.

I dont think only the party in power has a role towards the country. The opposition plays an equally vital role. And why invite the National spokesperson of the largest oppostion, if you cant ask direct, important question, relating to the present or future of the party (not just the past as you mentioned). It was actually a casual chitchat between two person hating a common party. I wanted to see how she answers for "Is Rahul Gandhi suitable to be a PM" but how nicely she dodged it, and Kunal did no followup. I dont know why you are nagging about GST, because every Chartered accountant i encountered with said, that GST is good for country's economics, and will help in the long run. I dont see any negative outcomes of GST as of yet. The bhajiwala you mentioned must be distressed because he now has to make original bills, and file his returns properly, In short, pay taxes (obviously a negative outcome for him).

if you din't realise the bias, i guess you were just too focused on understanding the sarcasm and jokes :)

Kunal... Loved the video. But even you have to admit, even you couldn't stop talking about BJP in majority of the video even though this should have been focussed on Congress's policies. (Like the first video on BJP where you stressed upon this point and maintained it wonderfully).

The last episode was a good interview. But this one seems like a stand-up comic act with some casual chit chat. This simple conversation is what any guest visiting her home might have with her... talks about family, gym tips, Twitter conversation, etc.

You are such a refreshing change from the so called know it all hosts. Witty, intelligent at the same time asking very pertinent, relevant & pointed questions. The best thing about your programme is that you are not biased towards anybody. Fab.

Dewan Krishanu What is the point of having a democracy if there is no opposition ? Its not like you and me can sit in parliament and question the ruling party. It's the job of the opposition that has been elected by the people . If you want Modi government to remain democratic then question and push the opposition as well. Also , noting the fact that it's just a light hearted interview with no real purpose , don't you think the least Kunal could do was remain impartial ? If he can grill Desai for the misfortunes of the current government , then why didn't he question Congress on their involvement with numerous scams ? They aren't in power , so are we supposed to forget what they did ?? All that money they embezzeled is supposed to be forgotten ? Everyone is driven by agenda. And so is Kunal Kamra , which has been proved today.

His climate change knowledge does not seem to be meddling with the policies our energy ministry is adopting. As a matter of fact the energy ministry is doing far better than it has ever done.But you obviously did not check that. all you are searching for is stupid things to criticize. you cannot expect a PM to know everything. Acting like they are addressing an audience sitting in front of them, it's ridiculously immature. Yes, it's a serious discussion, keep it intense. Crack jokes if you want but we don't need fake laughter.

Ashutosh Tiwari we don't need jokes first of all.. It can be funny.. But cracking jokes as a part of this podcast just doesn't solve the purpose. The first episode was exactly what everyone wants. Peaceful discussion and good answers and it was funny. Worked perfectly. I believe they've already shot all the episodes so much can't be done. I hope the other episodes turn out good.
