Yes!!!!! Its a premier elite series 18x14 ..
No signal chain given, so I assume that this was straight in with identical mic gain... ... But I'm catching a little extra dynamic range in the 609.
609 makes the bass drum sound hella good

Yes!!!!!! Its perfect!!!
The 57 sounds more natural with a more musical tail towards the end of the note. The 906 sounds a little fatter but chokes off the tail end of the note a little. You could always use one for the top and the other for the bottom!

The mic won't alter the sustain of the drum sound.
As a producer I can say the sm57 sounds easier to mix. I like the 906 on amps. The sm57 wins this one for me.

As a recording enginier say: it is easy to work with as somebody always want to hear the snare sound. But it ruin everything with his ugly caracter smear the atack with long time bonging-body sound from his side and non real mid-high with useless low-mid was comeing from the guled in transformer. so In most of case the snare is sounds like sm57 not like a real snare drum.

SM57 sounded so lifeless and dull. Sennheiser is way better!
It is the worst execution to compare 2 microphones
