Isn't ASD and VSD left to right shunts and not the opposite?

@Ay-yoo ASD, VSD, PDA & Coarctation are Left to Right Shunts. Right to Left Shunts are Tetralogy, Transposition of the Great Vessels, Tricuspid valve abnormality, Truncus Arteriosus, & Total anomalous pulmonary venous congestion

During single lung ventilation with DLT hypoxemia is because of 'increased shunt fraction'. Can you explain this? DLT: DOUBLE LUMEN TUBE

Will it be Left to right shunt instead of Right to left shunt for ASD or VSD as pressure on the left side is higher than the right side?

I'm sorry, I thin you said that the deoxygenated blood comes to the lungs from the left heart (at 2:03), but I think that's wrong... deoxygenated blood comes from the right side from the heart to the arteries, to the lung, then it exanges co2 and oxygen with the alveoli and then through the pulmonary veins returns oxygenated to the left heart.

Hello! In class we learned that ASD and VSD are considered left-to-right shunts, but here you mentioned it as a R-->L one; which one is more accurate?

You just need to ask yourself where the blood is getting shunted... really

I think they are right to left when in the unborn, and then they turn left to right because the pressure is higher in the left heart... but ductus is right to left.
