I love how Aizen is portrayed here; to us, Shunsui first speaks to Aizen as if he were a monster you'd find in a horror story, or some eldritch, unholy demigod with unbelievably malicious intent on killing someone, anyone. Once Aizen realizes that the implications of killing Shunsui, *he's pissed.* Not because of the thought that killing Shunsui would mean to permanently seal him away, but because they thought he would be cruel, villainous and needlessly monstrous enough to do it. A perfect contrast to how he's portrayed before appearing in front of Shunsui

It's not really "respect" at all. Aizen WOULD casually and kill Kyouraku, but not for the reasons of simply getting out that would hurt his own ego of his OWN sense of dignity despite how massively evil Aizen already is.

I can not wait to this animated. Its terrifying the power aizen has to the point shunsui is sweating. But he is a risk taker and play maker and head captin of the gotei 13 a title only he chose to risk. Also i love the ending aizen wants to rule this would not see it destroyed and that he knew this day would come and all he has to do is kill yhwach and then the SK. Perphaps the hogyoku wishes to elimante the quincy for the sake of the soul society and hueco mundo.

He fought off the previous Quincy invasion plus rounded up crazy fuckers like the 13 OG Squads. Lets not forget he was one of the reasons Zaraki is tamed. Old man made Zaraki learn how to use a sword. Anyone who could force that mad dog to listen is already a feat in itself. He was prideful and that was his biggest downfall. And 1000 years of peace made him soft. Shunsui is simply smarter and more careful because he isnt as powerful. And hes also a gambler. But that doesnt take away all the stuff Yamamoto has done. Yhwach called him weaker than before but I didn't see Yhwach try to fight his bankai. Instead, he took the path to seal it instead, similar to what he did to Ichigo's. No doubt his Almighty would let him win anyway but still seeing refuse to fight Yamamoto head on and not even allow the guy to use his bankai speaks volume to how wary he was of Yamamoto's power. Even Aizen made a whole ass Hollow JUST to seal Yamamoto's sword. Yamamoto simply was too famous. He's like Gojo in the sense where the villains thought of ways to seal him out of his powers before attempting to kill him.

LOL Just no, there is no "pErhApS" AT ALL as the Hogyoku doesn't want that AT ALL in the slightest AT ALL. Aizen can't "kill yhwach" AT ALL as his main goal is to destroy and kill the Soul King before anyone else. Aizen wants to be the one who destroys soul society himself and prove to himself that he's the best. It would be the MOST in character moment for Aizen to allow the world to be destroyed than ever try to assist anyone at all with trying to save it even IF Aizen wants to rule it all for himself. It's a villain VS villain battle here of who can do this before who first to control all and shape the world in their image in the most evil way possible.

You do realize we're told it happened in the manga, right? Sooo it's not really a mistake on the anime's part to show us that meeting and conversation. And you can't really say anything the anime adds that wasn't in the manga a mistake because that's all directly from Kubo himself.
