In as much as I love the basis of competing, I honestly feel the essence of prayer in these catholic songs is now lost due to these variations. There was a certain time when decorating a song for competition made a lot of sense. Ikozvino yangove njake njake, the originality of the song is lost. Too much drama on stage.... where is this going? Are we improving, what value is being added? My comment is a general comment, not directed specifically towards this choir.....but towards the competitions in general. I come in peace🙏.

I get these are high school competitions but certainly their coaches are seasoned conductors and composers and at some point they have to look at what they are doing and say this is getting dumb guys.

I left school some years back i feel like music is being exaggerated too much and removing the natural good feeling of the song these variations feel like where put by a 10 year old it’s removing the flow of the song I don’t feel why people are so happy
