Exactly, you can’t be as good as shroud just because you hold your mouse a certain way. 💀

Did he ever say: hold your mouse exactly like shroud (or *insert any pro; ex-pro player here*) and you instantly be as good as him? No. Stop gaslighting people just because theyre trying to be helpful to others or just be an informative channel - like a science channel If YOU don't want to think further about stuff, thats just you and other ignorant people There even is science behind on how to play/use the keyboard in AN EFFICIENT way - not saying that your type ain't the best for you, but there certainly are metas on how and what to do straight out of the fact that a certain way is just simpler for the AVERAGE user - thats why metas exist the meta for moving your character probably is WASD for like 95%+ of the people that play video games (no matter your specific layout since french layouts are Azerty and not Qwerty/ Qwertz) the other % might use the 'shifted-to-the- right'-version as they'd move with ESDF (somewhat viable (not the meta) in mmorpgs since you're reaching far more keys this way) Now imagine somebody playing with either the arrow keys or the numpad - nomatter the game youd probably end up in an inferior position when there are further keys to press other than the movement keys if you take that onto the mouse, there certainly are common grips and more uncommon ones which give some types of players an advantage like beeing more precise or fast (give or take the skill it takes to do a certain action in game with high % of it succeeding)

bruh mousegrip does matter. it changes the muscles you use when using your mouse and there are distinct advantages and disadvantages to using specific mouse grips. Idk why anyone would use shroud's mousegrip specifically though.
I think just blindly copying other people's mouse grip is not the move. Especially shroud's is slightly atypical. It may work well for him and cause him no discomfort, but that will likely not be the case for everyone. By all means, try it if you want, but don't get fooled into thinking that just because Shroud uses this grip, this is somehow objectively the singular best mouse grip. Professional esport gamers have all kinds of varied and unique grip styles. Just experiment with various forms of claw or fingertip styles until something feels locked in and stable (I would generally not suggest palm grip as it takes away a lot of fine micro adjustment ability from your fingers, but hey, if it works for you, that's cool too).

if every pro uses claw, and it feels not natural for you. You copy it, there's a reason why it works for them and if you don't take the time to adapt you won't get the benefits either
@fragehardt
10 ай бұрын
@pablodm9 don't think you really read what I said there... Edit: I literally suggest only claw or fingertip, and also mention that pros all have unique grips. They use their unique grips because their body proportions, hand size, finger length, etc. are all different. Couple that with them using different shaped mice and of course the grips will be varied. You really shouldn't just blindly copy paste a grip. By all means, try a pro you follows grip and see if it works for you (and give it some time), but don't just blindly stick to it without at least trying other things to see what works best. Just silliness.

You forgot to take into consideration DPI. Also "palm" grip is often misunderstood as it literally means resting ur hand on the mouse rather than the mousepad. The palm grip of resting ur bottom hand on the mousepad arguably is much better than claw or fingertip grip, especially for higher DPI, this doesn't mean however that it's good for you or your mouse size/construction. Another factor to consider is that moving ur wrist rather than arm adds the factor of getting a serious wrist injury, in which having a lower DPI such as +-800DPI solves since you're able to move your entire arm for your movements rather than only your wrist. Additionally your wrist is probably not trained which results in you performing worse, if not also injuring your wrist. People should try different DPI's and different grips to find what is best for them. Trying to be a pro or copying someones else technique isn't automatically going to make you better and as all things you're likely to get bad habits as a consequence. It's only now that I'm playing a FPS game(cs2) regularly that I'm forced to realize the mistake of trying to have too high DPI and "be good" when my mouse control and accuracy after at least trying to perform over 45-60minutes absolutely crashes with Copium. It takes practice and effort to get good with your grip and DPI regardless of whatever "technique" you use and a lot of us have taken that for granted as we've played games for so long. For me having tried and played with 9000, 6000, 4800, 4200, 3800, 3200 DPI for over a month in various games, none of them regardless off the training actually have ever got me good or an accuracy/control rate of over 68% during long sessions of gaming. It only resulted in bad habits and trying to make up for it by "fixing" it by shooting 2 times or some other thing before-hands and hoping i hit the mark. Now i'm playing with 1300DPI because razer doesn't let me use 1275 or 1280 which is more of a "sweet spot" for still trying to have somewhat higher DPI than the standard 800. My natural sweet spot probably is 1000-1100 but we'll see with time and effort.
That's the key to carpal tunnel too

Same, I've always heard it called "Claw Grip". Only difference in my case is that I don't move at the elbow, but at the wrist, letting my fingers work as a... gimble? And I run at 4200dpi for fps games.
this give me better grip on my mouse. Thanks
i'm gonna make this really simple, the key is a custom-shaped mouse for each player's hand. pretty obvious when you think about it, it solves everything. movable sensor also. Then you can have a mouse with any shape, any grip, and any sensor position. What these guys are doing is compensating for bad mice with weird grips and raw talent.

Great 👍 Have you thought about any way to try to bring that to market commercially?
@gcolombelli
3 ай бұрын
@@josephbornman8462 Most consumers just want to buy something ready to use with little to no tinkering, and for those who love tinkering, it's gonna be hard to find a commercially viable sweet spot before the price pushes people into considering to go a full DIY route. 3D printing and hobby electronics stuff really changed the market in some unexpected ways. Just look at the sheer number of DIY keyboards, mice and trackballs out there. Lots of stuff is open source, you can find something that appeals to you, tweak the design, and make your own. Most of that stuff you find on reddit, discord or specialized forums, but there's also quite a few stuff on youtube. There's a guy that made a custom mouse by sculpting the body with clay, using photogrammetry to load the model into his computer, tweak the design and plan how to integrate the electronics before ordering the parts and assembling it. But alas, those things also made possible some interesting alternatives. Like Ploopy, they design products for 3D printing, you can order them fully built, in kit form ready to assemble, or you can just download the design files and try to make everything by yourself, perhaps modifying it for your needs in the process. Right now they have a bunch of trackball models, one mouse and even headphones.
today i learned i have shrouds mouse grip (gamer for 17 years) honestly do what you do natually as forcing something is usually just gonna set you back and not actually raise your skill celling, as long as you can still flick and whip your mouse around do whatever you want
@Tyrvana

Exactly the point is to be comfortable and ultimately if its not good then up or down the DPI... or if u haven't already turn off windows enhanced pointer as in some games it's not disabled or overruled by a setting/coding and does (in my experience in league) make the movement of the mouse inaccurate.
Ninja turtle ahh grip
Now just wait for carpal tunnel
TYSM
Also don't forget to shake after use. But only like the way Shroud would do it. 👍
Thats just how I naturally held a mouse for nearly 20 years
Its so nice to have a third click button gives a place for your ringer finger.
well I can only do the straight pinky on my left hand... considering I was originally left handed thats wild
Rambo Kim! Used to play against this guy in Texas and we would scout and use the heavy machine gun in a live match. lol
Incorrect mouse grip and secondly shouds hand is much bigger which is the reason he holds the way he does. The pinkie on the other hand gives you better control arguably but your hand should still be in a relaxed comfortable state .
this is how normal person naturally grip the mouse lmao😂can't believe i actually follow the steps
People that are trying to adopt such a unique gripstyle like shroud uses, maybe even thinking that this will make them play like shroud, are the same people that are buying mouse xyz because pro xyz is using it. These people didn't understand a thing. For one that everything when it comes to peripherals is so down to each individual that there never will be a formula that will just work for everyone. The biggest favor you can do to yourself is to not look at what others are doing and or using and instead try shit out and see what works for you. It'll be a process, not a single doubt about that, but i'm afraid it's the only way if you want to make it.

I only got better at gaming once I realized my own comfort and ergo mattered more than how I was holding the mouse. Your brain will naturally figure out what position works best for its hand to complete the job required. Just play and find a grip that allows you to fully utilize your mouse. Make sure you get a good size for you and do not care about weight if you don’t mind a heavier mouse. Find what works for you. I game on a 100 dollar buisness mouse that sadly has not as response side buttons but the ergo is so great my aim has improved. Now I’m looking into a similar mouse but maybe lighter. Maybe with stronger or more hot keys.. just take your time and find what works for you. This is onto a good video for you if you want to learn about shroud. Not increase your own performance. Hope this helps someone

yes, finding your own grip, posture, arm position etc... at the end of the day comes down to trial and error, using feel to reposition if something feels off, and of course a lot of time to engrain these feelings so its natural
I wish microcenter was in Australia
The lengths people will schizo to crutch instead of improving their gameplay is utterly insane.
but he use middle finger to scrollwheels
wait what, so how do u usually grip mouse, there are many ways and this is one of the basic one.
Nice!
My hands are literally too stiff to do any of that
This is literally the perfect mouse grip that you should be using as long as you are an exact biological clone of Shroud.
What this is Wired xD i am using my middle finger to left click and my pointer is hanging over the left side of the mouse, and my ring finger to right click
this is exhausting as fuck.. my ring finger hurts after an hour
