Languages help in self confidence and communication.Sould look at it in a broader perspective rather than a political issue.Sad when Indian origin kids ( intelligent,but feel so out of place,and need constant,tiring interpretion ,inspite of parent knowing mother tongue and Hindi)look vague when in conversation apart from English.Some donteven have an iota of knowledge of Indian Historyor culture! Either due to affectation of parents ( B.era )or just not making an effort!

Swami Atmasthanandaji ( ModiJi's Guru ) was from Bengal but he was the chief of the Vadodra Ramkrishna Mission and he lived at various places in Gujarat for about 30+ years . Hence he speaks Gujarati so well .The other SwamiJi who is doing most of the speaking is not from Bengal he is from Vadodra itself .
