He not but the dlc has a mutagen that can turn you into either shredder bebop or rocksteady

we can´t do that, just in survival mode, maybe later with an update

But how long do I hold down the x button before I see any results.. what are some clues that are let me know that I'm doing it right what will I see

When Super Shredder unleashes the holograms of the bosses, just stand next to him and do super attack with Shredder equipped. This way, you can attack him without receiving any damage. The hologramme attack happens after every 1 move.

Played the game and you're right I was able to beat him with Splinter without upgrades
Okay I got you so I just hold the x button and don't release and wait till my opponent hit me like a counter

you don´t have to keep pressing the button, it is a counter but you have to do it at the right time
