Jacky is one of the most insanely clean shredders I've ever seen. The man has fucking flawless technique, I saw him live a while back with Angel Vivaldi and Nita Strauss and was absolutely in awe of how clean his sweeps and legato were. Sorry Jared, nice effort, but you never stood a chance on this one.

You joke but Jared could have played literally anything and he would have taken that round. Solos that consist of nothing but sweep picking and playing a billion notes a second just sound so sterile and lifeless, imo. Jacky is epic! So damn fast but not just a yawn-worthy blur of notes like some shredders. Great mix of the subtle and insane: his sweeping is absolutely bonkers!

I'll be honest, out of all the guitar shred videos this is by far my favorite. Just the level of skill and soul that went into each person's part is incredible. I'd pay for an album of you two just going back and forth

You should do a Shred War with Gustavo Guerra, he is amazing, and it would be nice to give Brazil some attention (Gustavo is brazillian, arguably Brazil's best guitar player)

It’s funny that the shred vs melody video proved a mix is best and this just drove the point home. Both beautiful mixes of fast skill and technique mixed with killer melodies.

Usually I have a hard time thinking either person wins a shred war. Because both people are extremely talented. But today Jacky clearly won, Jared clearly knew the outcome before making the video. Ive never heard of Jacky before today and wow, he is a monster.

So honestly I’m watching this 2 years after it’s release, and I didn’t know who Jackie was till I saw him in the 2nd shred collab, I check out his music on Spotify, and honestly love it, especially his most recent album but I generally like star X speed, Jackie is a monster player and one of the if not the best sweep picker I have ever seen or heard, I would love to see how a shred war between Jackie and Jason Richardson would go :D

@@klewja agreed. I would love to see Jared face off against Synyster Gates. He has jaw dropping speed, but at the same he is able to make all of his solos both unique and musical. I love his playing because you can tell when it's him shredding because of his style, but still finds a way to make each solo different

It was weird. As soon as I saw him, I thought he looked like an FFVIII fan. Then I saw the gunblade. Then the background. I don't know why he just screamed Squall fanboy to me (not that that's a bad thing). Maybe I subliminally saw the background without noticing it. Or maybe it was the hair. Yeah, it was probably the hair.
