I interviewed Pete in 1996. He was a bit brisk but then again he was in the middle of a tour. None the less he was still charming and asked me more questions. This interview was so pleasant. It's Pete with his guard down and genuinely participating on the conversation. I just adore that man. Bravo on this production.

But Pete’s adolescents which sound beautifully, How Pete took on Punk before the Punk Movement of the 70s, Also Pete’s Success and image in the Gender-Bender movement, as well as You Spin Me but not just its success and pros but the cons to it and how it effected Pete. Because it wasn’t peaches in cream in his words, Pete’s success in Japan through the late 80s. I’ve heard some juicy story’s and dreamful story’s about Pete’s time there. Also just how Pete went from Post Punk, Too Rock, Then Pop that’s insane for an artist to have success on in general. Obviously his Lip Augmentation gone wrong, how Pete became a Tv Reality star but again Pete’s take on it which he’s spoke about. Pete burns was an an incredibly brilliant and talented soul. I feel Pete was and still is sorely misunderstood. Sure he could be viper tongued and bitchy, but he could also be quite charming, sweet and personable as well. This interview is tangible proof of that. Pete has always presented himself as very self assured, unpretentious and not at all concerned with social perception. That's what made him the "special star" he was. Although there seems to be more emphasis in the media about his many accoutrements rather than his accomplishments. I always liked Dead or Alive. I was NOT as fond of Pete's sojourn into reality television. I personally am very saddened but not shocked by the rather untimely demise of Pete Burns. I sincerely believe that Pete succumbed to the rigors of excessive plastic surgery. I'm not a doctor, however I do believe Pete's cardiac arrest was a culmination and symptom of that. A full on eccentric and a creative force. Pete Burns gone way too soon. Thanks for your musical legacy and your stylistic genius. You are missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to Linda and Micheal and all whom were closest to him.

this is a great interview. it's one of the few, possibly only, interviews i've seen where they didn't just ask pete questions about you spin me round and cliche questions like that. pete is genuinely engaged and not as defensive as he normally is in interviews, due to being annoyed by the questions. he's relaxed and interested. great interview.

So many contradictions in what Pete is saying , BUT , for me the Music is what made him special to me !! A legacy we should all be grateful for - for me the Music transcends everything else - about Pete ... I heard the 12" of Misty Circles and was hooked !! Still am today in 2024 !

As much as i love Pete and his music, it seems weird that he could be a pop, singer but doesn't like to tour and perform his songs as the fans want to hear them. Of course he can do whatever he likes. But he really is a true solid person- wud love to have him for a friend or even a co-worker. And i wud love to write a song for him!

one thing i've always loved about pete is that no matter what he said (even when it was vile as fuck) it was honest. he never talks himself up or makes things sound better than they are, which is what i think the majority of people do all the time.

That was AWESOME - loved it! So much resonated with me. I'm a loner 2 - spend a lot of my time alone THINKING about life & how it all works - friends want me 2 write a book. I've tried explaining my sexuality in the same way - I've been with men & women but wouldn't call myself by any label. I certainly couldn't define it by the sexual act itself. I'm attracted 2 PEOPLE - we are all so interesting aren't we? I'm 41 & have loved Pete since I was bloody 11 years old. Thanx Pete & Showstudio :)
