Tractor looks SWEET, great job!

The 55 series John Deere was the last tractors my Father bought in the early 90's.I loved that 4455.It had the most hours.It started by breaking tobacco land in the late winter,to cutting cotton stalks in the late fall.I think that tractor had over 7000 hours with one engine overhaul and no transmission problem.Thanks for that restoration series Eric.

Our 4455 had 17k hrs on engine when we decided to overhaul it. Still was running strong.

A good ole Soundguard restored to original glory is priceless compared to the modern ones run on software and chips, IMO . Awesome job, love seeing these classics looking new, it should serve you well for another couple decades

Just a thought, get an old tire tube and split it open and cut a square piece out of it. Put that in the bottom of the battery box.

Extremely nice tractor, good job! And with Tommy, if had issues with the employment,he could’ve been man enough to sit down with you and have a conversation, or in the event a better opportunity came along for him, again he could’ve been a man about it and thanked you for the time you offered him with his employment at your operation…either which way he could’ve just been a man about it.

Awesome job on the tractor. I've had people that worked for me that I trusted with business and never 2nd guessed them one bit. But if they left me with no notice or just walked off, I don't care how good they were, they was no need to come back.

I've got an '88 4250 MFWD and it wears original paint. Has 13.6-28's on the front but 18.4-38's on rear. Want to go to 42's. Really would like the 55 series centers on mine so it would be easier to change rims. It's got right at 7K hours. I changed all the lights out to A&I LED like yours. Changed the nose to 55 series lights also. Added the 55 series lights under the battery boxes. I even added a 3rd remote. I had to get several oil leaks and few other things fixed at JD after I bought it. All that said, I wouldn't take any less than $60K for it right now. So yours would easily be $80K. But honestly, I would never sell that tractor. It's basically brand new. You couldn't replace it with a new one for that kind of money. 50 and 55 series tractors are probably the best that Deere ever put out. IMO. Keep it and enjoy it. Don't let go of her.

that is one sweet 4455. in ont canada i believe it would bring $75k canadian.. buyers will always question the hours, especially with new paint. you did a beautiful job. too bad to lose tommy when you count on a good man. amigo will have to be the new #1. regards

That’s a sharp little tractor, it didn’t look that good when it was new.

tractor looks to good to put back in the field as for bkt rubber i have them on my tractor 30 k maybe 35 k

If you ever wanted to sell that tractor, I would be very interested. Been looking for one of those 4455s like that for a while.

I’d say from what I know about them tractors 75 to 80k on an off day 85k on a good day

You won’t believe this but mine has 1,619 hours and it doesn’t look anywhere close to yours (interior and exterior). I still wouldn’t take a dime less than $60k so I would say at least $100k for the work you have put in to ol girl.

I took the scv’s off to have them rebuilt. Once I have them back she will be ready.

As good as it looks and the low hours it should bring at 48 to 50 thousand.

60k to 70k if you put up for auction, if you would try to sell it yourself self it never brings top dollar it would sit there. Auctions for some reason people go nuts! Competition i guess 😂

No the hours are correct. It was bought new at my local dealer and never left the man’s farm. All the service records back it up. I’m well aware that it will flip over. Y’all know I’m going to do my research!!

Man I hate that for you about Tommy. You try and be nice to someone and give them a bonus and then you get shit on that way. I know it hurt your feelings and pissed you off but in the end it'll hurt him way more than you.
