What a precious interview. I was disturbed the director of “Greatest Marriage” yelled at him so much that he wanted to quit and go home. I’m so glad he was able to overcome the abuse to become the good actor he is today. I wonder what the director and others from those days think of him now. A total shooting star. I hope he returns to us safe and sound from his military service, beginning 23 August 2021 to about 23 February 2023. He will be missed.

기용이도 남자구나 아이유랑 키스씬 찍을때 20번쯤 엔지 낼걸 하는거 보고 남자들이란 ㅎㅎㅎ 같은 여자가 봐도 너무 사랑스러운데 충분히 이해되는 말이었어 간동거 보고 여기까지 난 왜 기용이를 몰랐을까 이렇게 매력적인 청년을 군복무 건강하게 잘 마치고 들마든 영화든 열일 해 주세요~^^

I have heard jky saying many times that he was not confident and had no self esteem while acting, i always wonder why? He is so handsome and eye catching that whatever he does looks good on screen yet he had so low self esteem. Moroever his co actresses were all nice to him still he had that fear which made him make more mistakes. At the time of go back couple also he was so down and only after jang nara supported him and director took care of him, he could act then. Im really curious as such good looking people get paranoid too😢 I felt bad when he said he was shaking and wanted to go home 😢 But he looks so cute and so natural in the greatest marriage that even he looks good with his senior co actress too❤

"I'm aspiring to become an actor just like Jim Carrey. He can play any roles." said Jang Ki-Yong who is (unfortunately) still playing in romantic (sorry) cliche K-drama type. 😒 No offense, but if he wants to expand his acting performance (especially like Jim Carrey did in the past), I think he must turn down those dramas ('cause majority of K-drama is targetting young audiences, in fact drama goers love seeing "handsome perfect white skin tall" man, rather than their true ACTING skill--tell me ONE K-DRAMA WHERE THE LEAD, male / female, is "unattractive" by Korean standard) and focusing more on movies, or else he can join comedy project while doing stand-up (Jim Carrey was a comic / stand-up comedian performer before acted in movies). Well, this is only my personal thought. Peace out! ✌🏻

Lol. He's just a rising star who still has to make his name known in the industry. The scripts offered to him is still limited. He can be labeled as an arrogant if he reject this and that, and his name wont get bigger. Anyway, in case you don't know he has various genres under his belt. He has action and thriller project too. He also played as antagonist, psychopath, and even dual roles. Where he collected some awards (even baeksang) from that. The thing is most of kdrama top actors always get their name through romance. Just mention it: park seo joon, song joong ki, or even kdrama movie like gongyoo becomes big for their romance projects. Its occured to him too. After those dark roles, at the end people put the big interest to him for that typical romance kdramas. Jky always prefers action as his favorite genre anyway, so after he discharged if the opportunity comes to him... hopefully he can get bigger and better.
