This song was the encore at a co-headlining concert of Show-Ya and Nemophila in Sept. 2022 which I saw live. Those two bands along with the likes of Loudness and Demon Kakka of Seikima II and Crystal Lake (who were very good at recent European fests) are on the bill at a fest in Aug. Must see.
I get what you mean with the swell (attack time of envelope in synth terms), but I think Bach might disagree with your evaluation of using a pipe organ to shred with.. he's basically an out of time metalhead 🤘 Love the mad lighting rig on that stage. SHOW-YA
Nice. I figured the score would land somewhere around were it did. Like you said, it's simple but well executed. The video is from 2005 but I believe the song was first released in 1986.
