Drunken Tiger is like the father of K-Hiphop, he is the legend behind the reason why hiphop is as hot as it is in Korea nowadays.

Tiger JK used to be a duo, but drunken tiger took over the name after the other person retired. He's currently the boss of feel ghood music. Other artists in this label are yoonmirae, bibi and bizzy b

Drunken Tiger was one of the first groups to make hip-hop popular in Korea. Originally they debuted in 1998 as a duo consisting of Tiger JK & DJ Shine. Later, in 2000, DJ Jhig (James Jung), Micki Eyes, & Roscoe Umali joined, but Roscoe & Micki left in 2002 & DJ Jhig left in 2003. Tiger JK continued to use the name after that for his solo albums up through 2009.Then. he formed a new group with Bizzy & his wife Yoon Mi-rae & released an EP, The Cure, under the Drunken Tiger name before releasing a record with them under their current name, MFBTY. Tiger JK released his final album under the Drunken Tiger name in 2018.

JK said that he wanted to move away from using the name because his son didn't like the word "drunken". Fun fact: he had his own special line of Beats by Dr. Dre headphones that were very popular in South Korea.

Tiger JK is known as the ‘Father of Korean Hiphop.’ His wife Yoon Mirae is also a rapper- they were thaat Hiphop couple back in early 2000s setting trends. They got numerous tracks together also and are both admired in the hiphop scene in Korea. They’re both fluent in English having stayed in America for a period of time- his wife was born in US so shes a citizen. But they’re both honestly goalsss

Dynamic Duo, Bizzy, and Tiger JK have been around for a looonggg time. OGs. Dynamic Duo are one of my favorites of the greats. Seriously, every single one of their albums are solid gold. That’s no exaggeration.

Tiger Jk, Bizzy, Gaeko, and Choiza are all OGs of K hip hop. In terms of somewhat equivalent generation of rap basically they're the Rakim, Nas, Krs1, and Jay Z of korea. Zico, Dean, Jay Park, and Dok2 (pronounced Dok-ee) are the Kendrick, J-Cole, Logic, and the Weeknd. (Again, by generation.)

His whole name is a word play because it sounds like an Axe 🪓 (dokki) or a mental state that holds this vicious attack mode as if a snake about to bite with its poisonous teeth (dohk-ee) - sorry I’m not good at writing the pronunciation LOL. Anyways he is known for his rap style and how he doesn’t seek out a celebrity lifestyle like coming out on music performance shows or TV reality shows. Jay Park hasn't retired but he said during one of his interviews (I believe it was the one with Lee Younji) where he said that he was maybe retiring around 2022. He will still be working in the scene, just not publicly.
