Well one thing is for sure - any 48 hours in Chiang Rai will be painted with many colours. This city in Northern Thailand is hub for many famous artists, creating some of the most unique sights in the whole country. So if you’re wondering what to do in Chiang Rai or what to see in Chiang Rai, then you should probably start with the temples.
The temples in Chiang Rai are some of the most unique in the whole of Thailand. There’s the world famous White Temple aka Wat Rong Khun, which is an icon of this whole region, but it’s not the only coloured site to see: you also have Wat Rong Suea Ten aka the Blue Temple and Baan Dam Museum aka the Black House which are also really worth seeing.
Chiang Rai is also well known for its green spaces - there is stunning nature and mountains all around this city, so a visit to Singha Park is a must!
