I ran my cameo 3 for a few years and still use it. Lately if I need to show a client a mock-up of a shirt before ordering dtf. To get the size right I’ll print and cut with printer paper and tape it onto the shirt to show exactly how it’ll look so the client know what they are getting. Just a new way I discovered to use it besides just cutting vinyl

I been the using the same cricut for 4 years , made alot of money off it and quality one colour prints , I was screen printing for years and hated on vinyl but finally got over myself 🤙🏾

How did you get started? If you get a large order is it feasible to weed that much vs print DTF?

​​​​@@ninjaskoldpadda1005I think your best bet depends on the quantity, it might be better for you to get transfers. There are so many options now when it comes to good quality transfers. Like for me if it's over 10 I'll do transfers. But it also really depends on what's being printed. If it's a simple print, why not use vinyl? Multi-colors and difficult prints definitely DTF transfers.

Facts. I use my cameo every day. Vinyl will always be around, and I will continue to use it when needed.

I have the Siser Romeo and love it. Cut vinyl and rhinestone flock like butter.

I have the Cameo 12 inch cutter and it’s still useful to make some basic t shirts with Sisee vinyl for a quick flip profit. Still use my Cameo cutter 💯

I literally just got done with 8 tshirts with HTV for a customer. I've been taking your advice since day one when I got into this business. I'll use HTV to test out a design for my own brand and if its a hit i'll order up transfers from transfer express! Thank you Big Brandoh for the years of guidance!!! ALOHA!

Thanks for the info. I like HTV! So many types of vinyl to use and I can use it on various material. I just started putting vinyl on cups and glasses, because sublimation can be hit or miss and wasteful at times. I also want to say, thanks for getting straight to the point in your videos.

Ughhhh this video was much needed and overdue especially with the explosive rise of DTF. Vinyl will not die and those who think they are above it are crazy frfr! I have started using it with embroidery projects and the effects Im getting....DTF could never! So thank you Brandoh for taking the time to speak on this, like I said it was much needed for those folks "in the back".

Thanks for this I have Cricut Explore Air 2 and Starcraft Solo. I still like my vinyl but also enjoy DTF for more complex designs.

I started with a Brother ScanNcut and just recently switched for the Siser Romeo. I love being able to load 24 inch rolls directly into the machine!

I use vinyl and do pretty well... just a hobby but lots of repeat customers. i recently purchased a white toner printer system that will allow me to print multicolor jobs but still in the enfant stage of that. I really appreciated hearing what you had to say though. Thanks

Have a Vinyl cutter ( a Cricut) and started based on this channel. I’ve been using transfers and now been dabbling in local dtf. I got ready to give up vinyl no lie until I looked in my storage bin and say how much money could still be made with vinyl

I still use my cricut. I use the explorer and it has been good for me.

and it is good for emergencies. I had to add some letters to shirts i already had DTF for so was able to customize them by just adding names and dates for Memorial shirts

Vinyl is great and I agree with you 💯 it’s not going anywhere. Definitely a plus if you’re double dipping in DTF and Vinyl. I’m looking at DTG printers as my next investment.

In my Etsy shop I used to sell HTV decorated t-shirts, baby bodysuits, toddler shirts, and hats. But my sales slowed to a crawl when about a jillion Etsy sellers started using DTF. If you read some of their listing descriptions they are making comments like "Not made with low grade vinyl." I have even seen KZread videos slamming HTV for apparel.

Thanks for all the knowledge Big B! Been taking your advice for a while now and it's all been good. Been cutting vinyl for years then followed your lead into Supacolor. What's your thoughts on the durability and longevity of vinyl? My experiences have been mixed, if you make a shirt with vinyl how long do you expect it to last before peeling or cracking? I use the heck out of my cutters for htv and for permanent vinyl. I have a cricut air 2, cameo 4 12 inch and cameo pro 24 inch.

People should use everything. Why? Because sometimes you want a colorful design with a lot of details so DTF is the way to go. Sometimes you want letters or silhouettes of something so vinyl is ideal for that. Weeding is annoying sometimes but still you spend less money than doing dtf or screen print.

I use vinyl all the time, it’s the most versatile out of all of them, decals, stickers, cups,clothing, shoes you name it. My Cricut ain’t going no where.

I am using puff, flock and brick and with a minimal classy design it’s 💣 and holds up so well

I just got a cameo 4 and practicing as we speak.

I just got a cricut, a heat press and some htv so good to know it ain’t dead yet 😂

In my experience the DTF prints are cracking and fading after a couple washes but my vinyl prints last for years, literally years.

That's true still a big hype on vinyl on the other hand do you think the quality is still there after washes? Compared to other methods that may hold up more on the fabric.

i use a lot of Econo Puff, Econo Reflect and Econo V in my shop. i use reflect for a lot of high vis shit. to me its the best reflective vinyl out there. comes in a bunch of colors, cuts easy and lays down easy.

I agree with you! Thanks for this! I have a Cricut Explore. I love the versatility with vinyl and don’t plan to stop using it. I also use transfers, (which I’m testing different companies) and sublimation.

I bought a brand new Cricut Explore for $175.00, in the box, Stole it. A week befor that I picked up a Geo Knight 20SP for $400.00, stole that too. I feel Sublimation will be the go to, No white ink to clog and screw up the day.

Can you use a vinyl cutter to cut transfers? I don't have a heat press yet but if you can cut a gangsheet with a vinyl cutter you can more than double the number of sleeve hits you can put on a single sheet. You can tighten up your spacing a lot if you take the potential for human error out of the process.

How do you feel about DTG? I’m just starting out and looking for which direction to go with printing my brand.

For me it's DTF all the way. I truly love my Prestige L2. I can see vinyl sticking around though. It has its uses.

@@jeffreyroy4167 Hey there! The Ecofreen Ultimate DTF film has not been tested for normal inkjet printer and is intended for specific water based textile printing. Best results would be to pair this particular print media with a direct to film printer

This is to anyone on here.. I am desperately seeking a way to increase my money for sustenance, not making it right now! Is there a reality in making good money selling vinyl shirts?? Post a link to some step by step video please. 🙏🤙🏽 “art shirts” is what i call vinyl, because it takes time and patience.. i have a cameo 4 and heat press but where do I get the shirts and what brand of T-shirt feels the best and looks great for less?

ive been using cameo cutters for the last 10+ years. no issues on my end. my only advice is buy a cutter that fits your budget and look for content on youtube on how to use the cutter you buy into. that way you can have a reference when you need to troubleshoot or help you get going. i know nothing about siser cutters. never used one so i cant say good or bad things about it.

What vinyl do you recommend that has more of a natural feel than a hard plastic? I bought vinyl but you feel the vinyl when you fold shirt kind of stiff feel thanks brotha
