Thanks for the videos, Dave. Watching them has given me the confidence to open a place in the UK Any chance of a video on draft beer options? My place is upstairs, so no way of installing A proper draft system. Using the smaller type home bar, Mobile draft Systems had me worried that customers will think they’re not getting a ‘real’ beer. It’s an over 30s speakeasy place, so my other question would be, can offering only bottles of beer still be profitable and keep customers coming back? Thanks

I used to install custom draft beer systems in Florida. I'm sure it's similar in the UK. But the systems are adjustable so that you can go up many floors and hundreds of feet from the kegs/fridge and still get perfect draft pours. Look into getting a professional opinion on the space. You should have no problem getting draft beer if you can get a walk-in fridge to keep the kegs in.

Gordon, who responded to your question, is right. You can surely put in a draft beer system whether it's upstairs or not, but you'll have to consider the cost, as it could be considerable. To answer your question though, you can certainly be profitable with bottled beer, as the cost percentage is ball-park similar to draft, but it's the novelty of having lots of draft beers on tap that people love, so I don't know that you'd draw as much traffic to your bar with just bottled beers. However, you did say that you are a speakeasy, so if you have a nice liquor bar, you can focus more on that niche and people will be excited to come there for the cocktails and will be happy enough with the bottled beer options.

Thank you for the reply really appreciate the advice! Speakeasy quiet rare where I live in the uk and I’m doing over 30s as the area is all bars for the younger generation. Thanks again
