I'm a 2021 12th passout and took a drop for JEE 2022. Dara nahi raha hu and it may depend but for most people including me, Drop year was hard and mentally draining. You get a sense of insecurity and at time may feel burnt out. Most droppers leave their preparation after 1-2 months only but I am proud of me that I didn't leave in between and tried my best till the end. Kuchh galtiya bhi kari thi jaise ki coaching join nahi krna (i was fully on self study mode and dependent on KZread) and gave less mocks and though I worked hard, I lacked direction and hence, failed in JEE main 2022 also. I am in a decent private college now studying CSE. Think yourself but dropping is a good idea. No matter what the result is, it will be hard. But it will teach you many things. Good luck.

I am a student from IIT Delhi, and I wanted to share my thoughts on the topic of dropping out. I believe that if you feel it is necessary and are confident in your ability to do so, dropping out can be a viable option, particularly for those preparing for the JEE. In fact, I know several friends here at IIT Delhi who took a year off from their studies to prepare for the JEE and ultimately secure spots at top IITs. I believe this decision was a good one for them because they have been performing exceptionally well due to their strong work ethic and consistent efforts. Along the way, they also learned valuable lessons on how to succeed in an IIT environment. When preparing for the JEE, I believe it is beneficial to start detoxing from smartphones or switch to using a keypad phone, if possible. This can help you focus more on your studies and reduce distractions that may hinder your progress. Overall, I understand that dropping out is not a decision to be taken lightly and may not be suitable for everyone. Yeh aspect bhi hai, agar bhi itna improve nahi kiya drop year main to atleast apne ko pata rahega ki han maine pure saal consistency ke sath effort diya hai, mere se yeh result ban paya, isse zyada hone ka chance to kam hai (agar exam hall main kuchh nahi hoga idhar-udhar ka) Atleast ek satisfaction leke college jaoge ki man ek cheez pe laga ke hard work karke kuchh achieve kiya hai. I like the concept of litmus test. Trust me its different from all other drop videos I have watched so far. This test surely makes you aware of your capabilities before making any commitments. As Aman sir addressed earlier, students usually are motivated (myself included) during starting few months and later on face burn out. So by taking litmus test is basically for you to be aware for what is to come; your routine will be changed, your social media time will be decreased as well etc. Thank you Aman sir for this video, more or less its like eye opening experience for me.

I was also a dropper in year 2018-2019. It was tough but I managed to score 99+ %ile in JEE Main. In the end, I am now placed at an MNC with a really good package( I had IT branch). So, looking back I can say that all that hustle was worth it. But, mind that many people lose the initial zeal. So take decision according to your situation. My suggestion - Stay away from social media, and talk to parents regularly even for 5-10 mins.

Don't take a drop year guys. The pressure is very high and there are very high chances that you may relapse and fail. If do not have 101% will, do not a take drop year.

I just gave my jee 2023 exam(12th passed)... and I know i was sandwiched between school and coaching....with attending school in the morning and then attending 4 hr coaching I couldnt do self study with my full potential as every day was very tiring....and kabhi school ke practical files,projects,practicals,etc...I remember those days when my coaching test and school unit tests clashed...and because of this i couldnt perform bbetter in both the things...JEE is not an exam...Its a ..........(can't define it in words),you get a lot of learnings,reality of struggle and life,know about the competition and a lot more... My opinion is that yoou cannot change your past..treat it as if it was written in your destiny and something better is waiting for you in the future...Whichever college we go....in the whole 4-year journey it only depends on you how you improve yourself..how much new skills you learn and work on your betterment....nhi to kahin private college ka student 50LPA ka package uthata hai...aur kuch IITians ki placement hi nhi hoti(unemployed)...bcz unhone sirf enjoyment ke alawa kuch nhi kiya...Ek college ka apki life ki success mein role 25% ka hota hai...baaki 75% humpe depend karta hai ki kaise hum apni life banaenge..... thnks for reading till here..😊

Wo toh uss time thoda padhne mae maja aata tha.. Aur padhna jaruri bhi lagta tha... Fir pata nai kya hua achanak se itna kaise hum distract ho gaye.... Ki 60 dino ki 10 12 ghante ki padhai kaise chuth gai.... I believe that I can do it again... And I can do this litmus test....

my exam was on 6..after that i decided for drop on 7 only from 8 i am studying more than 7 hours not 10 but trying best also going to bed and getting up at fix time sleeping at 11:30 waking up at 5:45-50

@@Rishav_Kaushal5761 ek advice du to bhai start krde kam se kam kahi se bhi jitne jaldi start kr dega utna fyada rhega.. Jo phle se aate he unhe advance pe le ja pehle fir jo nhi aate he wo kr lena... (Idk if this is the most right way but i am doing this u can see for yourself by yourself)

@Amit Kumar if you can do hardwork you will achieve your goals. But why not a shorter way from IIT .

❤Bhaiya 2nd drop lene ki soch raha hun mains de diya hai. 11-12 me jee pata hi nahi tha drop leke kota me tayari kari 75%ile aaya 1st attempt me 2nd me utna kuch khass nhi ho paaya. 2nd drop lene ki soch raha hun without coaching iss bar self study aur bhai log ho to kuch guide karo
