Calgary has a 7 day snow clearing plan living in the NW or west sucks to many hills and it is always icy as hell.. I bought 1 time in the NW and got out quick. Airdrie and NE Calgary get really bad hail all the time. I remember back in the 80s living in the NE worst hail I have ever seen and I was in the Campground by the pine lake tornado so seen some bad hail.

Great interview and good to see all the reservations about Calgary cleared! Calgary is and will be one of the best cities to live and raise a family! Despite population growth, much better than Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver!

We moved from Montreal to Vancouver. Decided to give it a try. One year passed, we took a paper to compare both provinces. The only we could write on BC side was: nature. BC is loosing in everything else comparing to QC. I'm not happy to return to QC because of language barrier and decided to do some math QC vs. AB. In terms of cost, AB is a little bit expensive compared to QC. In short term you will see nothing, but if you take 1 year then yes... In AB it will cost 1000-2000 more compare to QC.

I think the NW is totally overrated...the South and South East is super awesome! I can tell they are less happy now than back in 2021 but I think if they move to the area they like they would be much happier. The scary part is that most people moving here doesnt bring or create jobs...Calgary should seriously fix this as lots of people here work for Toronto companies...I just hope this is sustainable and don't lead to a large "move back" type of thing...where property prices fall back a little. Calgary has a much much harsher winter and nobody mentions the "ice issue", in Toronto you can go for walks in the winter and it's not that cold but here you slip on almost every sidewalk outside of DT. There is no such thing as a dry winter is warmer than a wet winter, science has proven this to be incoreect and I feel people say that because they hear it, there is no way and I mean no way this winter is better or comparable to Toronto...I love Calgary and would never move back but we need jobs here. Great video as this is how lots of people feel to be honest but the cost of living makes it worth moving here. Let's make Calgary the best city!!! 💪🏻

Appreciate your comment. I would disagree that they don’t seem happy. Probably not best to judge someone based on a video. Job growth in Alberta has actually been keeping pace with population growth according to an ATB study released this week which is a great sign for the future. Let’s go Calgary!!! 🙌🫶🙌

I live in Calgary and visiting in Ontario. I’m telling people here if you’re thinking of moving to Calgary, think very hard because Calgary is very expensive. Apts are scarce and expensive and housing is hard to find and also expensive. It’s beautiful and lots to do but think hard and do due diligence before moving.

@@ChamberlainGroup yes, I can agree to that. But let’s agree that finding a house to buy is very difficult, unless it is a new build.

@@judyhoward9802 I’d say there are some product types that are harder to find than others. I’m not disagreeing the market is tight. It is. Low supply here. What we have to remember as Calgarians, is that the rest of Canada and these higher priced areas and the people from there are looking for changes and we are still seeing people moving here. Saying we’re expensive is a joke to those that are in markets 4-6x our value. We look like a discount.

Don’t make the same mistakes. In 2004 homes prices in Calgary vs Toronto vs Vancouver ( 250k vs $300k vs 350k) Today (700k, 1.5M , 2M) Imagine making that mistake to save $100k and losing out to million dollars
