I've been using v3's with the performance kit and 2 dampers. The pedals that came with my gt dd pro have never even been unboxed. I drive road cars not formula cars so i prefer a brake pedal that doesnt feel like im stepping on a brick. I use 2 red from the performance kit and the brake damper set around 2.5-3. I also run them with the least pre-load possible so i get a good amount of brake pedal travel. Personally i do feel the difference the damper makes on the brake pedal with these settings, it gives a nice realistic hydraulic feel.

If you're not on loadcell at all, just getting it will make a massive impact and probably the single equipment that will give you the most in terms of pace. If you don't have a budget to use on expendables, but it does allow you to save some for some equipment down the line, I think Thrustmaster t-lcm are some of the cheapest and you do get penny for your buck on 'em. Ofc. if you do have the budget for it, you can be more nitpicky about it, but point being; get loadcell if you're into simracing, it's worth it.

Had these csl pedals for couple of days now. After little customizations I'm very happy with the purchase. Throttle was too light, so I use harder brake as accelerator not as clutch as suggested, with clutch I use that polyurethane stopper thing to add some resistance to it. Also replaced one of the rubber elastomer with custom die spring and everything is perfect now ;) Good value for the money. Obviously... if You've got money can go v3's or just go straight to Heusinkveld and be done with the pedals for the rest of your life :D

Heusinkveld is definitely the direction I want to go. Being new to this hobby and trying not to piss off my wife because I’m all in when I new hobby crosses my path. I had a Logitech wheel about 8 years ago but instantly returned and gave up on the hobby. Still played all gt games but with controller. Keeping my ear to the ground over the years I’ve known of fanatec but never pulled the trigger. Seeing the gt dd pro I knew instantly this was gonna be mine. Ordered a chassis from trak racer and the fanatec set up. I don’t have the load cell or the 8nm for that matter. Yet, this set up is beyond what i could’ve imagined. I’m having a blast with ACC, gt7 and dirt 2.0. The breaks though, need to upgrade and not sure which direction to go yet. Still don’t have a ps5 because I refuse to pay 3 hundred more than what it should cost. Looking at my pc day by day but I require a monitor stand if I go that route. Gotta give fanatec credit for an entry level set up for a direct drive. My wife thinks the hobby won’t last long. Right now though, I can’t see doing anything else.

Wheel, I would like an all around Clubsport wheel, for GT and Road cars? Base, Im not sure if Its too much to go CSL DD, or just stay on the CSL Elite? I play PS5 (GT7, F1 2022 and Assetto Corsa), sometimes also PC (Assetto Corsa +Comp., Raceroom, Project Cars 2…) And I do not have an unlimited budget :) Have a great day, and thanks again!

I went form the Thrustmaster TLCM on the TGT to the the DD Pro with the load cell kit for the CSL pedals that come with that bundle. I have big feet and heavy, strong legs so I find I probably need the stronger springs with more resistance in almost all applications, to prevent the weight and strength of my legs accidentally nudging the pedals. It's the same with drumming, I need a pedal setup with very stiff spring. So I think I'm gonna go with the CSL over the TLCM. However I'm still not sure if they are fully compatible with a t300rs wheel base....do you know?

They also squeak I hit it a few times with silicone spray and it stopped. Also just annoying, I wish they attached the shaft with a bearing instead of a bush, mine have started to wobble from wear after a year.

I just got the GT DD Pro kit, accessories, and inverted V3 pedals after having been on an old T500RS w/ inverted pedals for years. Comparatively, the inverted V3's form factor, positioning, throw/swing, pedal feel, and the dumb-ass floor-mounted gas pedal (WHY?!) were all horrible. Considering the cost (inverted V3 pedals alone cost as much as the entire T500RS kit), there are way better options out there. Any option. Unfortunately not an option to continue using the T500RS on PS5 tho, and that's where a lot of friends play these days. Even the DD wheel feel wasn't an improvement, just has the advantage of not binding the way my old wheel did. All in all, it's up there with the worst $3k I've spent.

The problem you will have with any Fanatec product is its reliability. My CSL Elite pedals have failed twice now. I have the DD1 Podium wheel base and it has already failed and been replaced. Not only that, Fanatec don't supply many parts, so kind of want you to return it for repair. In doing so they charge around $60 AUD an hour, plus parts to repair. My personal opinion from experience with many Fanatec products now is to look at other brands first. There are so many new options available, which are of better quality. In terms of my recommendations for pedals, if you can afford it, go for the Heusinkveld Sprint pedals. They're awesome.

I'm going to go out on a limb here, loadcells (to me) make no difference laptime wise. I know folks talk about consistency, but to me, once I've got the distance of how far to press on my brake pedal hardwired into my head then I don't tend to get it wrong. I used to race in a league and people were obsessed with LC pedals and I bought into the hype, and bought a set of fanatec LC's and weirdly nothing changed - no faster, no slower! It did give me a sore big toe from heel and toe'ing due to how much pressure you have to put down with LC's. But I know I'm probably in the minority - it just made no difference to me!

It's not just the load cell, but the springs and elastomers used. Also, foam blocks indirectly measure pressure anyway. It takes x amount of pressure to depress the pedal the same distance consistently. You don't need to directly measure pressure for your brain to have a memory of pressure application. The other issue is that in real cars (race or otherwise) there is a significant amount of movement in a brake pedal, but sim racers seem obsessed with incredibly stiff pedals. With a stiff rig you can apply quite a bit of force, but why is this supposed to be immersive?

Have them about 4 years now and still doing great. Only one question though. You say you use the full 90kg from the load cell? While i don't even use the max of the csl. Compared to real world driving i need to put way more pressure on the csl to achieve the maximum pressure. In a racecar you have your weight helping alot when pushing the pedal. While sitting in a stationary seat there's only your leg pushing. 90kg's sounds about right for real world driving (hard braking) but a bit overkill though for simracing? Not sure if you drive i.r.l. yourself but i wonder how you think about this.

Yeah I upgraded from the regular base pedals to the V3’s with performance kit *( extra $30 I memory serves )* and I love them so much definitely worth the money I can brake so much later and trail brake way easier on theses pedal and if you add a damper *( 79.99 plus tax and shipping you really don’t need this it’s just something I personally want, you also don’t need the performance kit either unless you want almost no travel to your brake pedal I like my throw to be about 3/4” )* to the gas pedal it feels amazing like a real race care, and the adjustable is great you can change how long the throw on the gas is you can make it short or long depending on preference same with the brakes and the clutch well that’s just a clutch it feels really good as well, i refuse to waste money on the DD pro I have a CSL elite already and it dying I’m getting a Podium DD 8NM isn’t enough for me
