Hartech are in business because Porsches are driven hard, often from cold. Unlike many hard core sports cars, they’re also driven to high mileages. So I suspect while there may have been some bad batches of cylinder block liners, or cases of fuel contamination which affected many 528 BMWs pre 2000 destroying the cylinder liners (too high sulphur content apparently), but really it’s not really an issue when so many Porsche 987/997s do well over 100,000 miles without needing a rebuild (the vast majority in fact). Also most air cooled engines need a rebuild at 100,000 miles and they don’t suffer from bore score.

I registered a few weeks back and have yet to have anything through, so encouraging the waiting list appears to be 3 months. I had started to wonder if it'd been missed. Like you, I suspect their business model probably relies on the fact most people won't be getting much done at the main dealer, but it's nice to have the memorabilia for the owner. Porsche have always been a bit cagey about IMS and bore score. Not a surprise as if they admit the issue then I'm sure lawsuits would be coming their way by previous owners. The Swindon experience was a bit more grand than mine at Cribbs Causeway but I suspect a lot of that was due to the 75th celebration - in fairness I just rocked up to enquire on a random Saturday 😂

Thanks for watching. I am still waiting to recieve anything. I have heard that some packs are missing the number plate surrounds and the badges. I guess we will wait and see.

Hi mate. thanks or watching. I currently have a set of Nankangs on the rear an Toyo proxy on the front. Both are non N rated but give great performance.
