Honestly my biggest mistake when it comes to calorie intake would be being scared to eat too much. Like your self, I was a big boy in high school. But within a year I lost 100 pounds from training and eating properly. However that created a very unhealthy mindset. For the past 3-4 years I have always tried to be the leanest I possibly could. Which meant not eating enough food. I always wondered why I still didn't look the way I wanted to. it wasn't until I realized that I needed to eat enough food to actually gain muscle and look the way I wanted to and your videos have helped with that and I just want to say thank you!

The biggest mistake I made bulking was trying to put on weight very quickly and then cut again. I did not stay committed to a slow and steady bulk because I wanted to be lean and have size all of the time. I just needed to take my time and trust the lean bulk.

My biggest mistake has honestly been not eating enough. I know how counterintuitive this sounds, but it’s something I’m working on. Eating a lot is something I’ve struggled with due to having been a bigger boi as a kid. That mentality stuck around and has been tough for me to break through.

My biggest bulking mistake was when I was young and broke. I needed a cheap way to get calories but also get protein so I ate 3 cans of kidney beans a day. They were .88c a can around 300 calories with I believe just shy of 30g of protein each so on paper it was good. The problem, as you likely predicted, was I had enough gas to be an international flight. I got great results but dating was off the table and I legit had to repaint my bedroom after it was done.

I also didn't change my workout split which means I got really strong (+50 to my deadlift in 2 months) but I didn't really get bigger (except in the gut haha). The way I set up my bulk is that I structure my diet to hit my maintenance calories and macros, then just have a 300 calorie snack before bed (e.g. a halo top ice cream, or some cereal, or maybe a candy bar... just something enjoyable before going to bed). Then when I want to maintain, I just don't have that extra snack before bed. Then when I want to cut I just lower my carb intake, so the carb portions get cut a bit and it's usually the starchy carbs I cut and I keep the fruits and stuff (so instead of a cup of rice it might be 3/4 of a cup for that meal, etc). Literally the easiest way to structure a diet ever. If anyone is curious of my macros: 1g protein pr pound, 0.3-0.5g fat per pound, rest carbs

I didn't have any problems with bulking, but it is not the same as cutting. There was my problem because I was eating high calorie foods. Good job with the video it's nice to have you around.🔝

I would have to say my biggest bulk mistake was the balance between gaining fat vs muscle or overeating/force feeding myself even though I felt full. Keep up the great content Will!

Heyo Will, my biggest mistake was not starting the bulk when I was supposed to, I started going to the gym and went straight to cutting, I couldn't see as much progress as I wanted, that's when I decided to bulk and trust me when I say that was the best decision ever. 😌

Will and family always guve out not just good content but also with a ton of humour 😅. My biggest bulking mistake i made was eating to much of the healthy stuff thinking the calories wont add up. Regardless of the bulk being dirty or good i have learnt to track my calories and the food i am getting them from😊

My biggest mistake bulking in the past was eating as much as I absolutely could. At the time I'd just gotten sober and I was 6' & 130 lbs. All I wanted was to get as big and gain as much muscle as possible. I ended up going up to about 215 lbs 20-25% bodyfat in about 9 months eating about 4-5000 calories a day lmao. Fast forward to the present I've now been sober for over 6 years and I'm currently 180 lbs at about 15% bodyfat.

My biggest mistake was eating without counting the calories I was taking in on a dirty bulk, as well as not finding out my maintenance it was more of a wild guess. Didn’t track any macros and consistency in eating just wasn’t there, definitely learned from that one

Bulking up can be hard, especially after being shredded & having compliments about yourself. To “oh you’ve gained weight”. I guess people don’t understand what we do to progress our bodies, but it can play on your mind.

I’m in the same boat with you brotha! I was 230 and got down to 188 and I’ve started gaining muscle. I’m trying to clean bulk in order to change my metabolism and increased my protein intake to burn more calories naturally. We can lose that last bit of fat without just getting skinny and being on caloric deficit!

Biggest mistake is that I go from clean to dirty bulk overtime. I start reasoning out that I burned enough to have more. As soon as I do that my consistency in the gym drops so I completely end my own routine. Simple and clean is the way to be @catpowerfitness Thanks for making your videos!

I would love to win the BPN Field Bars but I have never bulked. I'm currently trying to gain muscle while in a deficit. I started lifting about 3 months ago. I'm still hitting PRs every time I go to the gym (2-3 times a week). I love your channel. Your info is solid, your puns have me cracking up, and the format keeps me coming back. I love when you try different peoples workouts or when you try different diets. Cooking with the shirt off is A+. Your love of doughnuts is heartwarming. I could go on but this is getting long. P.S. Victoria is so pretty!

My biggest bulking mistake was when I gained around 10 kg in just 2 months. It was my first and last dirty bulk. That time I was 15 years old and I was new in building muscle community :) I comletely "forgot" to do cardio. From super endurable at the end of school year I turned to somebody who is catching his breath after 20 metres of run.

My biggest bulking mistake is not tracking my calories. Looking back, I have previously guessed what my calories were and have probably eaten too little (around 2,000) or too many (around 4,000) calories when I thought I was 'bulking'. Since I started tracking what I eat, muscle gains, strength, and overall health have improved markedly.

My biggest mistake was not counting my calories. I knew nothing about calories at the time all I knew was I was eating a lot and it was working. I gained such a ridiculous amount of fat that once I cut down I didn’t even look like the same person but granted I also cut excessively cause I was just starting to learn about calories. This was 2 years ago and I’m the same weight now but much leaner and feel much better not having to literally force feed myself on a daily basis.

love the videos! very inspirational. my biggest mistake when I tried to bulk was not properly counting calories and always after a workout got a peanut butter bomb smoothie large. I wanted to lose weight while gaining muscle which at the time sounded like a good plan and by the way... I would usually gym at night so I had the peanut butter smoothie including a meal (supper).
