Same here ,people stopped and asked what I wear and I turn red cause it’s arianna grande… I was followed by a young gentleman around the store. I’m not saying I’m hot but he probably enjoyed the scent

I think I'm in the minority here. While Cloud smells similar to BR540, I personally don't consider it a dupe. I like them both, but they exist in 2 different lanes for me

I prefer Kilian's "Apple Brandy" over BR540. I was so unimpressed and I think you nailed exactly why.. SO MANY DUPES!!! Great review!!!

I have both. My client asked if I was wearing BR540 but it was actually Cloud. Cloud and BR540 have that airy effervescent quality but otherwise their scents are completely different. I agree w/you “stand alone”. Cloud is so sweet somewhat juvenile (IDC I’m 40+ and love Cloud) cold month only. But BR is sophisticated and fine in most seasons

After wear Cloud for a year and a half, I just got a BR540. I got no compliments the first time wearing it lol! I was disappointed because I get compliments consistently when I'm wearing Cloud.

Easy answer. Yes. The Exrait version smells even better than the EDP IMO. I own both versions. They’ve been my most complimented fragrances since I purchased them a couple of years ago.

The Baccarat is nice. Like a very sharp and slightly sweet patchouli. Not dopey at all like typical patchouli. Something is slightly "off" about Cloud for me. Maybe it's the tropical aspect you mentioned.

I have the Baccarat 540 hair mist. Can't afford the perfume. I bought a 1 oz of Cloud. I wear them together. B-540 in my hair and one spray of Cloud on my skin.

I'm just coming back to these videos out of interest because I got Cloud first, then was desperate to get Br540 and once I got it I never bothered with Cloud again. Until just now when I put my pjs on for bed and decided to spray it on my top. I'd forgotten how nice it is tbh. After only smelling br540 for ages I'd forgotten how much coconut was in Cloud. It's so nice! I prefer Oud Satin Mood now though, I adore that perfume. That and Portrait of a Lady. The best baccarat dupe I've found so far, and I haven't tried Untold by Armaf which everyone says is the best, is Boreal by Yodeyma Paris. Identical, and it's only about £20 for 100ml. I've used them for years for dupes.

BR540 in 2021 is the Santal 33 of 2018. Love both but damn you smell it (and dupes) everywhere!

I need to go to Ulta and try Cloud again. I had a lot of finery body sprays on my arm already, because I was testing them at target before I tried Ari’s fragrances . All I could smell was musk and I didn’t like it, but I think the other scents got in the way.

I bought Baccara Rouge EDP few days ago. I'm crazy about the smell. It's elegant, sexy, sweet, sensual and smells expensive. It's a real confidence boost when I wear it. Yesterday, I tried out Ariana Grande's Cloud in a boutique. I can see why it is considered a dupe, as some of the notes are similar. But Cloud is much more fruity and "girly". It doesn't have the sultry, sophisticated feel of Baccarat Rouge. However, I'm thinking of buying Cloud to spray it in my room.

agreed. cloud is the hyperfeminine version of baccarat which is much more unisex and unique. Cloud is still great though

Have you tried Cloud 2.0 aka Intense? because it's better imho than the original Cloud and closer to BR540 EDP.

What about the ALT dupe to this? I’ve heard they have an amazing less expensive version of Baccarat as well.

I have a decant of Bacarat Rouge 540 edp and a decant of Ariana Grande - Cloud , but what I like better about BR540 is that I am getting these whiffs from time to time when I move , but my nose does not pick up Cloud that much when wearing it. I got decants of many what they call BR540 inspirations - Sensual Instinct, Instant Crush, Cloud, but I still enjoy BR540 better.

I have both, but I don’t think they are even remotely similar. BR is sooooo sweet and Cloud is so light and airy.

I’ve had some strange wear time experiences with Cloud. Sometimes I’ll put two sprays on my neck and my boyfriend and I can smell it hours and hours later, and I don’t need to respray that much. Sometimes I put on two sprays and an hour later my friend sitting an arm length away can’t even smell it. I’m honestly so confused as to what the wear time of Cloud is.

It did that with me at first, but so did baccarat. It's the ambroxen making you go noseblind for a while. I would think Cloud had totally worn off but when I woke up in the morning I could smell it again on my neck. Baccarat would do that all day, keep doing the disappearing act then come back strong again but now I think I've trained my nose to be able to smell it all day and definitely with the extrait version. You can't miss the bitter almond note in that one, it's a very cherry almond smell to me.

Great review✌🏾 The extrait is the way to go. It leans more closer to the skin and not as airy as the EDP. And it still projects well for at least 7 plus hours for me. I’ve tried the cloud and it does absolutely nothing for me. Smells like a teeny bopper 15 year old girl fragrance that’s wanting to be cute. I’m a guy and the extrait is more of a serious scent. You get what you pay for✌🏾

Zara is coming up with dupes all the time and they used to have a now discontinued female fragrance RED TEMPTATION as a dupe for this and now there is a men's fragrance which is also a dupe, and it is FOR HIM RED EDITION.

I bought BR540 and I love the stuff. My girlfriend wears Cloud. There is a slight difference in the dry-down smell. BR540 smells like a master made it, but Cloud smells like the 12-week apprentice made BR540 using the exact same formula. Cloud has a sweeter, slightly more synthetic smell to me. BR540 is a bit smoother. But there's also a lot of coping and seething on my end knowing that the DNA is so similar. It makes me feel cheated almost; like BR540 should be cheaper. I don't know what I'll do when I run out of BR540. It feels like a scam now, but I also don't like the smell of anything as much as this.

Mate, there's actual full on clones of br540 now. Cloud isn't supposed to be a straight up clone so don't think you're stuck with that if you can't buy another legit br540. I'm the same. I've only got one legit bottle of br540 and Oud Satin Mood. The clone of OSM I've got from Fragrance World is insanely good. It's super strong and smells identical. I've got the br540 extrait dupe from them too. I haven't got their version of the edp but I've heard it's good. Lattafa do Baroque Rouge for about £20, might be more in America but if you're in the UK the best clone of the edp is Boreal by Yodeyma. I panic ordered 3 x 100ml bottles incase the prices went up 😅 I had to smell like br540 forever after smelling it but I've since found out I prefer OSM. Don't be put off by the prices being so cheap either. Look at some of the reviews on here. Club de Nuit Untold is supposed to be the best clone for baccarat but the price has gone up so much it's not worth it, I can't see how much closer it could possibly be when these ones all smell exactly the same. Cloud is lovely but it's got the coconut, Lavender and pear and it's noticeable enough once you're familiar with the real baccarat.

For me they're maybe the same vibe. In My experience when i wear cloud I'm wearing a generic perfume and the longevity on my skin is trash. Now when i wear BR540 omg I'm feeling myself I'm completely intoxicated by how I smell. It's just IT for me. Now the sad part is i go anosmic to it after a couple hours. 😞 Get a sample of both see what works better with your chemistry.

Remember to wear what makes you confident. I’ve worn fake clothes and real clothes. Yeh the fakes look the same, but it’s not the same as wearing the real deal. I feel more confident rather than having to tell people it’s a fake, you know what I mean?

baccarat rouge 540 is a no imo, both edp and extrait. I have sample of both and dont enjoy it. i enjoy other versions of mfk much more like grand soir, and oud extrait.

i'm confused about baccarat rouge, coz you say it smells like cotton candy, and this other reviewer said that it's woody and bitter.... i mean, i think it's a molecule scent that might not be cotton candy for everyone... i'm just at the point of listening to people talk about it right now, but there is a disparity

The AL Haramain amber oud rouge dupe is spot on to Baccarat.

I own both perfumes , BR540 and cloud. They are both beautiful and Cloud has hot BR540 core(rest of the perfume is coconut and whipped cream 😍). Both gorgeous foe all occasion .

Cloud has the strength & lasting power of a Bath & Body Works body spray at best. 30 seconds & it's gone. I love it but it's SUPER weak!

Yep, it’s unisex. Also I saw someone complaining about Cloud having a “latex plastic” smell to it, but BR540 also has that latex note to it, idk why but it’s only on the sprayer and not on your skin or clothes
