Should you buy a used Skoda Laura? | Skoda Laura maintenance cost India | Sold my Skoda😢 | Part 2

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Hello All! In this video we look at the service and maintenance cost of my 2010 Skoda Laura, over the last 4 years & 35,000+ KM of ownership!
This is Part 2 of the video, link to Part 1:
Skoda Laura Service & Maintenance cost
• Should you buy a used ...
With a heavy heart, it's time to bid farewell to the Skoda Laura.... the car that started the channel.... The Ownership had its fair share of Ups & Downs, but that is life with an old Skoda!
The future is bright though, as the replacement is a performance sedan that's RWD and Red ♥️
History:
Purchased in 2019, at 34,300 km for 5.25L
I bought this car a little over 4 years ago and have been enjoying the premium-ness of a Skoda since then. The performance, especially after the tune is awesome.
However, as with all used cars, there were quite a LOT of expenses, which I have documented here. I hope this video will be useful to you guys, especially if you, or your friends are planning to buy a used Skoda.
Please share it with them also and Subscribe to JRS Cars for more such car content. Any questions or comments, please leave then below.

Different experience for different people. I bought mine at 82k KM, now it’s at 114000. The only thing I’ve changed so far is the clutch set for 6800+1500 labour and auxiliary fuel pump for 4200 which I replaced myself. No issues with the infamous AC so far

The MC and SC are a nightmare. I had them fail on three different occasions. But still holding on to mine coz I'm sure I won't be able to get such a well built car again. I got an automatic Jetta as a second car for my wife and city drive and keeping Laura for fun drives.

@@Explore_Unseen_Roads Yes. Diesel is better than petrol due to low mileage of petrol variants. From a maintenance perspective parts replacement will be expensive, aftermarket parts will be more affordable than dealer sourced.

Sad to hear this one. But I do understand the pain of driving MT in cities with such big engine . I too have felt the same with my VW Jetta 2.0 MT. But I never want to sell it . planning for pre worshiped 1.3 MJT MT cars like punto or linea for city drives. and I am planning for a stage 1 tune for jetta as well . Pour your opinions please ! . BTW I bought the Jetta after watching your 1.9 vs 2.0 TDI Comparison video . Thanks for the informative contents ! I am anticipating for lot more videos from you!

Hii JRS CARS!! I GOT SHOCKED😳 after seeing this video thumbnail..Recently, I saw many of them who owned skoda laura are selling it , this personally hurts me a lot . For the past 3 - 4 yrs i have been surfing about its details, upgrades, posts, used car market - Test drives (even though i couldnt afford at that time). Bt now, after all the researches and hardships, am luking for laura 2L CR tdi MT . Am saving money for years only to buy this vehicle. i know the cost of service and maintanance, but it worths every single penny. I dnt have any other choice list. Shall i proceed buying this ? Ur opinion pls ? Shall i replace all the parts at the initial and will it last longer for more time period ? Ipadiku laura vin vizhudhugal.

Hi bro! Yes, i understand your love for the car bro. If you are ready for the service and maintenance, then yes, go for it. If mine was the 2.0 and automatic, i would have definitely held on to it for longer. But, at the time of purchase, the DSG (being unreliable when bought used) was the reason for going with an MT

Hi Clutch will be around 30k and AC will be another 35k approx The lights can be upgraded and windshield polished If the car is otherwise in great condition, you can consider keeping it… But some factors: FC has been done? Not sure how long gov will extend FC for old diesels? Do you have another car? If yes, then keeping the Laura makes sense as there cars are really built like tanks and will surely have value as a collector item in future
