I've bought my lite almost a week ago and I love it so much! I'm currently playing Mario odyssey and I'm gonna play all the good games I've missed in 2017. Never had my own console before, consoles were only for my brother or for the family, so I'm so happy I've bought it with my own money! Happy gaming ^^ The only thing I have a problem with is with the price of the games. I know it has nothing to do with the switch lite, but it's hard finding good games with a good price haha

Awww your comment brightened up my day! I hope you have tons of fun with your Switch. :) Switch games can get pretty expensive, but there are some cheap Indie titles on the Eshop which are around the 20$ mark or lower. Nintendo first party games are usually around the 60$ mark.

I have owned all 3 - Lite Regular and OLED. The other two are more all rounders while the Lite is an absolutely perfect handheld. While the OLED is an all rounder as stated, has a nice screen and also has docking - the Lite is still overall the best handheld. The Lite is by far the most comfortable, most portable, has a real dpad, it's solid (No wobbly joycons) and is the sleekest Switch so overall as a pure handheld the Lite is still the best ...

I disagree with most comfort. I have giant hands and thus, the bigger console (oled), It’s more comfortable, and also the fact that the switch isn’t as wobbly as stated. Still , fair points.

@@shekkie yeah it probably depends, like you said large hands = large console is more comfortable. for people with small hands i’ve heard that holding the regular switch for a longer period can be really hard 😅

I don't believe it's for 'casual' games only. I already have a PS5 and Vita so I didn't want another console, but I wanted to finally see what Breath of the Wild was like. So since I didn't want a regular Switch the Switch Lite was perfect!

I'm thinking of getting a Switch lite and seeing your video is really good. I do have the red box Switch, but that is for my T.V more and seeing your video that the lite is smaller and it felt better to hold, I think that is better for me.

I'm not a casual gamer, I just love handheld consoles with a compact form factor. I love to use my normal sized Switch but in handheld mode I find my hands hurting after long play sessions. The added comfort with the lite sounds like a worthwhile tradeoff tbh.

Thank you for this! Planning to buy my nintendo Lite this coming June or July. Hope it will be worth it! Planning also to buy 2 or 3 games with it! So excited!!!

Personal preference but given the choice I'd rather the smaller screen as the image is crisper. 720p is enough for a handheld screen under 7", I definitely wouldn't say no to an OLED screen on the Lite though.

I've had an OG Switch and a Switch Lite for quite some time and while I preferred the Lite, I chose to upgrade my OG Switch to the OLED model. Now, I kind of regret it because I feel obligated to use the OLED as it is expansive and I don't want to waste money, while I still love the Lite. Thus I switch back and forth between the two of them

@@dee_hfgblank1617 It looks very good. However, speaking from experience, when watching other people play on my switch, I have to get a bit closer to to see the screen. Which is fine for me and my girlfriend, but if you're not comfortable invading a bit of personal space during shared play sessions, perhaps get the OLED model (which we are saving for now). Not that you asked, but I will share: 1. No, I am not buying an oled because I ran into mechanical and hardware issues. My switch lite has been working excellently these last 2 months, no stick drift whatsoever. 2. I am only buying an OLED so me and my gf or family or friends can play multiplayer on the big screen with games like Crash Team Racing and Scott Pilgrim vs The World. 3. Also, to play games on an OLED screen like Hollow Knight and Skyrim is going to be a new experience for me, so I am excitedly saving up. 4. So my girl can have the Dialga and Palkia switch I have loved and enjoyed so much of my time on with.

I have the lite and I went to GameStop to look into the OLED. They had a nice setup with all 3 models side by side V2, OLED and Lite. I just didn't see enough of a picture difference to justify spending $350 on it. And I don't play on TV that much at all so I'm looking at getting another lite in a different color. The OLED is for those who don't currently own a Switch or want to play on TV and on the go. If you just want to play Nintendo switch games the lite is the perfect entry into the platform.

Same here! I already know switch lite is definitely worth it in 2022. But still, Can’t afford it.

I already have one but it became damaged I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one

I actually had the switch light for deployment I had never played the regular switch but I can say I had a fun 9 months with it in Iraq but I recently purchased a switch oled and I think the lite is amazing for 200$ your getting everything you need i wouldn’t buy it over the Oled or regular

I just bought a jailbroken switch lite...the price is like 2x the normal lite price...but i think it is good for long term considering that games on nintendo switch are so expensive and i dont always has money

I live in a country where Nintendo doesn't have a presence at all (India). But I really want to buy the Switch lite despite higher cost of importing it. My only concern is the stick drift issue. Is it that common for a switch lite? I don't want to use my switch so scared that it might start drifting one day and I can't do anything about it.

Look for extended warranty options. I'm sure you can find a 2 or 3 year coverage plan that will replace it. Probably for 50 bucks more. That's one and maybe the only option for that. When you're playing just try not to abuse your sticks. Stick drift generally comes from rough play. Don't get me wrong sometimes parts are defective and have nothing to do with the user. But I'll be honest, in my times with drift on my controllers, they were because I use to play like a sweat.

It is very repairable. You just need to buy replacement sticks. Drift is unavoidable, tho my OG switch (bought 2018) has never experience drift.

that's so not true! you don't have to import one wth? I'm from India , Bangalore and Nintendo does have three stores here + you can always find one on Amazon India. Infact , important thing note is that i consider myself lucky because, there my online friends tell me they're running out quickly on the limited editions and OLEDs and here in India, ALL ARE AVAILABLE AND IN STOCK!

I'm kinda thinking about selling my switch and buying the lite. I literally never use it in dock mode (it's only in there to charge). But also the switch is my first console ever so it's a bit hard thinking about getting rid of it.

It's different for everyone, but for me...I first bought a lite then ended up getting the regular switch a few months later, however, if you truly want the lite...I'd say go for it! I use mine docked pretty often as opposed to you so maybe you'll enjoy the lite more, it's also very comfortable and you can get new games with the additional money you get off the old one :D

@Blurryy Yeah I still like it a lot, and I haven't experienced any drift yet (I've had it for over a year) then again, I don't use it often. Don't remember what the battery was like, I think it's supposed to be as long as the switch v2 but it differs depending on the game you're playing, it was good for me though, didn't have problems. I hope that you enjoy your new switch and don't experience any issues! congrats!

This thing feels rock solid and is the best choice for a household with multiple switch and looking for some couch/bed play!

No, but it can get verry hot sometimes after 4 hours of use. But is's not healthy to sit and play any game for that long anyway. I see it as a reminder for me to take a walk, go to the gym or read a book instead 😅

I really really luv the nintendo switch lite and have been wanting to purchase one again BUT by the time i buy the switch lite, hori duraflex cover, zip case, memory card, and 1 decent game it ends uo being a little over $300 dollars and for that price id rather buy an xbox series s with game pass :/

Exactly, the accessories pile up in cost on the Lite and makes you question whether you would have been equally better off buying a more expensive console off the bat.

I bought a Switch Lite in 2020 and I'm still very satisfied with it considering I prefer handheld only play.

I've been using it since 2020 too, I don't have any problems with it 😊 Though I must say that I mostly play more relaxing games like animal crossing, stardew valley and fall guys. Not too much force used on the left joystick :) Battery lasts 3-4 hours on more graphic games like animal crossing and 5-6 hours for pixel games like stardew valley! Hope this helps you guys :D

I think if you can afford it, it's good to have both Lite and OLED (or V2 if you already have one).. I bought Lite first thinking I normally play on the go anyway.. but I found myself wishing I could dock and play on a bigger screen when I'm at home.. I know you can just bring your OLED or V2 with you but I find it too bulky compared to Lite..

My only problem with the switch lite is the decreased battery life

It's perfect for traveling but at home i do feel sometimes some games are just better on a big screen. I ended up grabbing the Oled because man the Oled console is beyond perfect i would definitely advise saving up bit more and getting the Oled instead of the switch lite.

i absolutly hate the switch lite ... i had the OG switch , but since i'm a truck driver by trade i sold that one and bought a light to take on the road , in 6 months i had 4 different lite's , all of them got the joycon drift within the first 2 weeks , since then i bought an OLED that i now take with me on the road. i do miss the sturdyness of not feeling the joycons move

Going from an oled to a lite i must say .....i hate it. I hate that i cant easily use a better handheld controller. The screen sucks, constantly squinting. I forced to "switch" when i was robbed a month ago and I couldn't afford to replace all my stuff. Wish i had waited and saved for another oled instead of listening to all the pro lire propaganda out there. Did i mention the controls are garbage. I hate hate hate this cheap feeling piece if shit!
