@@TN2022c did you read my above comment? I’ve been in living in Spain for 7 Years and had the unfortunate experience to pass through Benidorm three times. Dreadful place with dreadful people. I’m happy the Spanish government is cracking down on the red British tourists though! I’m ashamed to be British myself whenever I’ve been there.

True. We went once, Mrs loathed it but l was fine, not really my thing but no point in fighting it is there? Wouldn't go again but can totally understand the appeal for others. 😊

england school hols not for another 2 weeks...

The people that say it’s like Blackpool in the sun haven’t been to either places recently. There’s something for everyone in Benidorm. Last time I went to Blackpool there were loads of tarmac pavements covered in discarded chewing gum & the place stank of chip oil that needed changing.

Could you bring some of that sunshine and warmth back with you Lee? We flippin well need it here in the UK. 😀🌞

Well I live in blackpool and would like to say Thanks Lee for always being great about the place. If we had the weather it would be fantastic. Benidorm is great as well, never been disappointed. It has everything what you want it to have. Going again in a few weeks and booked again for next year. People I tell to go and do love it!

If you go to the old town backstreets you can get proper cruzcampo lager and tapas for less than 3 euros

What a place lea I had apartment here for 7 years old town lost my husband 2020 live to go back but disabled blackpool is also my place but on my own now xp

I agree Lee ,if you come away /avoid the strip Benidorm is lovely .

It’s not school holidays yet. My 2 daughters and my wife work in 3 different state schools.

Great vlog. One thing you could vlog about is how to pack for a break? You seem to be able to manage on a cabin bag for a week? Maybe a future vlog?

July and August are dead in the bars and strip in Benidorm compared to the rest of the year, some British bars actually closed and some Entertainers take their holidays! It's because all the hotels are full of families, many in all inclusive stays who don't venture out to the strip. It's a great time to visit if you like brilliant weather and a quieter holiday

Aren't you a bit early for the school holidays..??? In Birmingham it doesn't start until last week of July..???

I’ve just got back a week ago. Absolutely loved it. Was there in April also. This time we stayed at Rio park - lovely hotel and the Spanish were off school, was heaving ! But I don’t mind it busy, if you want quiet go menorca etc.

I would love to come to Benidorm, bet you have some right laughs and fun.

Imagine what it’s gonna be like in two weeks when it is the school holidays in England because I guarantee the price you are paying will triple when it is the school holidays as it always does English school break up the end of July usually Friday the 19th and perhaps the following Monday

Looks like the weather is improving from Thursday if you're thinking of doing more UK vlogs. From memory you've done Brighton once. But not Bournemouth, Padstow (Rick Stein) coastal 'Tintagel' King Arthur's castle etc going West. Some stunning coastal walks. Doing your bit for the English Tourist board.

Benidorm is literally the worst place I’ve ever been 😅. Definition of brits abroad. I guess if you like it you like it, but for me it was cheap, grubby, overall bad food, no class.. there are so many other nice places along that coastline if that’s where you want to head off to.

Thanks for the video, always enjoy your work. Just look around: First week in July is not the school summer holiday in England and Wales. Scotland, yes, but Benidorm wasn't exactly heaving with kids.

i paid less than £500 for my stay in Cala Bona in Majorca from tues - fri this week and that was half board, coach transfer and also a trip to the drach caves, cost about the same as your 2 nights in benidorm and it was 32 degrees on thurs :)

Can't knock Benidorm. We stayed in Rincoin area in April, loved exploring end to end , it wasn't as warm but nice to get away. Not quite school holidays a couple weeks out maybe lol

lee we live in Spain and often drive to Benidorm mainly old town there are wonderful places to visit without being in the main strip. We live in Hondón Valley close to Aspe.. You make interesting and sometimes amusing content 😅 Frank & Dee

We stayed hotel benidorm centre last year loved it going back same hotel in september.

I stay at that hotel everytime I go to Benidorm it’s a fantastic hotel and great location. You have to get some food out of the halfway house excellent food in there, also out the hotel and go right the pub that’s on the corner has great prices and great pints

I was in Beni 5 years ago for my dads 60th we had a ball was our first time (my parents n sis 6th time in 2019) they go approx twice a year and just love it. I hope to get back again someday. I 100% agree with you deffo not Blackpool in the sun anytime i've heard say that its cos they've not been and also been snooty about it too. I loved the pubs Hotel California & the western bars on the strip spent a lotta time there that week. Only Scottish school hols atm rest of UK still to break up for summer.

Lee. You recently gave Stephen "Walk on the wild side" a challenge with the 5 stack burger. I have a challenge for you. You do the 5 stack, no water, and under 1 day. ;)

I think from memory 'Ians' was fully booked till the 28th June, except for a cancellation. Hopefully they found you a nice table outside. Best restaurant in Benedorm from what I've seen......

I feel that way about Turkey now , always love my USA holidays, got dragged kicking and screaming to Turkey last year and been back a few times , love it.

I don't know about Mansfield,but schools in the rest of England don't have summer holidays till the 22nd of July.

Next time you do a school holidays video, try going in the school holidays!

Benidorm is great, I love the place anytime of the year, with or without the family.

If I'm on vacation, I will pay more for the beer to look at the ocean. Plus, I'm sure the rent is a lot more for those ocean-front shops.

Maybe I'm in a minority but I just don't like these foreign package holidays. I don't understand why people who go on them look down their noses at English holiday resorts. Give me Torquay, Whitby, Lyme Regis or Runswick Bay any day of the week.

14:00 Comparing Benidorm to Blackpool: Benidorm in this video looks nice. Blackpool in recent videos looks anything but. The buildings and infrastructure in Benidorm look modern, clean, with interesting facades, whereas Blackpool just looks dismal and dilapidated, even when the sun is shining - which doesn't appear to happen often.

We were there in April really gone down hill be a long time before we go back

I prefer English seaside towns. They have more character and charm. Benidorm feels soulless to me. Those concrete hotels make the place look sterile and unwelcoming. Be honest, people only go for the monotonous hot weather. Not my thing at all.

If you get the chance, try Sherpa in the old town for Indian/Asia food....Best Pad Thai ever!!👍
