"...get lower and actually charge" ornery typed with a smirk on his face, completely unaware of just how dumb his comment was. ornery didnt bother to pay attention to the video so he has no idea this is just a little bind and fly flown for fun. "speaking of better piloting" ornery thought to him self "i better see how my latest video is doing" ornery had uploaded a video of him flying in the neighborhood next to his house (pretty much the most bad ass place to get low and charge) and he wanted to make sure it was getting the credit it deserves! "57 views hell yeah" he shouted excitedly as he felt his pants stiffen with arousal. this excitement and the tens of views was almost too much, ornery had to relive this pressure and do it now. He booted up his wifes computer hurriedly set it to private mode so he wouldnt be caught and brought up his secret obsession "le drew" his absolute favorite fpv pilot and man crush, he almost leaked every thing out just upon seeing his face "oh not so fast" he muttered to him self taking the time to line up the video to the perfect part, "take me drew" ornery said softly as he gave in to his desires, "take me now before she gets home" he repeated rubbing his short range drone and the front of his pants. "one day" he thought to himself "one day my love".

Long range quads puts my nuts in my guts but fire some reason fixed wing doesn't really bother me.

These long range videos keep me on the edge of my seat the whole time lol.. Do not ever mute the commentary lol it's the best part

I believe that the high voltage flowing through the wires caused vtx and rx interference. I have this sick cliff near my house and there are power lines on top of it and when I fly near them I loose video even though I’m like 100 meets away from myself. Idk if it’s just me but I think they cause some interference

im sure they def do but the crazy wifi style interference went away as soon as the kmart drone was gone so im blaming that haha.

Your long range vids are always chaotic and I'm about it. Always more interesting to me than watching some old dude named Vern posted up in a lawn chair at the top of a mountain with a spotter working an antenna array for 30 minutes. Don't get me wrong, mad respect to those dudes for going stupid long distances in epic locations, but this is absolutely more fun to watch.

Naw, I agree. Those long range videos suck. It was cool the first 1000 videos, but the way they fly, might as well get a wing or something. I mean a mountain is beautiful, but once you’ve seen a few hundred of those videos, it’s just another generic. I think it’s because they come from that side of the hobby and don’t know how to fly drones well. People are too nice in these comments. It’s like people forgot how to be honest and too scared to hurt people’s feelings. Gotta let them know if it sucks. You should see Bot’s other LR video. That one was epic. Fell out the sky just barely within a safe range.

@@justainchoe6141 I think they fly like that because it's a $600+ 7" 2 miles up a mountain and they don't want to have to find it if they crash. Also when you're that far out the flippy floppy can make it lose signal real quick.

They absolutely put in work and I respect all the work that goes into them creating that content. but 9 times out of 10 I just don't vibe with it. Doesn't mean that it's bad in the least. Trust me. If I think something genuinely "sucks," I'll open my big ass mouth about it. This is the internet after all.

this was an exciting viddy. the crossfire ant is a dipole, i believe, and your tx was 90 degrees out of phase with the rx. but i could be wrong.

Izzie explained it, but a 6S lion will drop to 3.8ish volts per cell quickly and then slowly drain the rest of the time. You can fly a lithium ion cell down to around 2.8v per cell. That’s 16.8V total. For a LiIon, 20V is nothing. Definitely test and fly next to a road before you risk anything… or just send it. Great rip as always!!

@@MrSmithFPV I switched from crsf to 2.4 express and I get better range with 2.4 because of rf interference. It depends where you are located.

Hey Bot. I put a Rush Tank Solo VTX at 1.6 watts on my Rekon 6 with a 6s li-ion and made it out 7 miles. Had a 7 turn Helical on my goggles. Picture was pretty fuzzy but still flyable. It will stay in the air 28-30 minutes with no Go-Pro. I was flying on top of a hill though.

Brave man doing long range with a HGLRC stack. Have tried a couple of the Zeus stacks and had the dame issue as everyone else. They spontaneously combust. In grand fashion. Melted 2 quads. Never again.

I take my Li-ion on long range to 15v 2.5v per cell. Manufacturers say when unplug it should bounce back to 3.0v after a lil bit

that's nice, hang that big heavy battery by the power wires and swing it around, I guess it stress relieves the solder joint

Its the insta360 2 it sucks for jello unless the quad is butter but im not into tuning.

LR is it serious? On the Tango the antenna is horizontal, on the kwad it is vertical - that's the reason for FS. The antennas must be in the same axis so that the maximum signal is received on the kwad. either both horizontally or both vertically. In general, LRs fly with vertically oriented antennas on controller and kwad.

I usually forget to up my RTH altitute when flying near powerlines.

For best range and video signal there is 3 obstacles 1. Power of transmission and antenna tuned for frequency 2. Structures between you and quad trees and large metal frames absorb rf and concrete can be to dence to pass though without enough windows but glass/mirrors cause issues if close to transmitting unit eg quad or your controller. 3. Biggest issue interference. Either from components on your drone or environment it’s not always constant so if you scan a channel and it’s low interference as you fly away you could fly close to a source but some interference only blips so every 5 seconds bursts. Irrelevant for me in uk we can only use 25mw so shitty video and range is the norm lol I’m pretty sure the electromagnetic rf from the power lines are interfering alot in your video as well as that cheap drone that’s probably pushing out 1.2whatt

so much has changed, everything is way easier now and with emuflight and elrs you dont even have to tune.

The high voltage cables freak my drones out ..yours seem to do better I guess

2.6km is my record for a return flight (on a Flywoo Explorer), lost it on a 2.73km flight, bought another, but haven't been game to go over 1km with it. Mainly due to goggle range (I really need to upgrade my shitty Aomway Commanders). As for Wifi, run on R8, it gets you out of the range of wifi, however that shitty drone may have still blasted you out of the sky.

li ion need less speed, they have less voltage than lipo, if you go slower you will go way further. thats why who fly longrange have the trottle position in the osd. happy flying everybody

I have idea for a project bot... Someone needs to make a rescue drone. I was thinking a 6 prop drone with a second camera facing down with some kind of cable to snag downed drone. One person would be a dedicated flyer and 2nd person using down facing camera for the rescue lol
