It's always great seeing Jacob win a game and series!!! he plays such fundamentally sound hockey. Olly is such a wild stallion it's hard to cheer for him, but also hard to hate the hustle.

Gottta give the win to Jacob. But the league needs to look into the rules of the game and make some adjustments before the next championship starts.

A helmet is a precaution and isnt technicly equipment ( stick to the head) shin pads are illegal because it isnt as devastating for an injury

Page 45 section 2qc, states no modded equipment. Jacob is seen wearing plain equipment. That is no violation and after review the equipment was simply to protect knees and had no difference on the outcome of the game.

I think he shouldn't be disqualified

It's fair, the rule book clearly states that it is ONLY modded equipment, like what Jacob said. So technically you could wear full equipment as long as there was no tampering. Jacob Ardown is your 2021 Mini Stick Champion.

It clearly states in the rule book that no equipment is allowed to modify your uniform, not that the equipment has to be modified itself

in artical 3 section 2qb of the otb mini stick series rule book, it clearly states no equitment usage other than helmet, stick, and gloves ARE NOT ALLOWED!!!. clothing like sweatpants is allowed you just cant wear more than 1 pair then that would be padding. i think Olly should come away with this DUB. but i think Jacob deserves Game 7. a heartbreaking loss last year id like to see him bounce back. make it 1 series to 1 series!

"No Modded Equipment". No modified equipment. The knee pads worn by Jacob Ardown look to be stock (having no modifications). Jacob Ardown is with in the rules. This is a rule that should probably be discussed at the next GM's meetings, and possibly tweeked to included the wearing of "equipment". "Equipment" will also need to be defined. Jacob Ardown is teh winner of the 2021 Mini-Sticks Cup.

Olly wearing a helmet is valid because he’s showing his equipment pre game. Jacobs equipment is pretty modded because it’s hidden and underneath his jeans. Game 6 is for sure a DQ and we go to game 7

Most physical game of the series boys. Good work. Anyway, you both break the rules a LOT. No sticks above the waist... this happens 1/3 of the time in your games. I want to see a game 7, but I believe is the rule is no modded equipment, not no equipment. Otherwise, the helmet, the gloves... not allowed. PS - High stick resulting in a penalty shot goal was not good. Jacob was laying on the ground, the stick was not high, the face was low :)
