In my opinion, the British media portray these high level athletes as “servants” of their club and subsequently their fandoms as well. Obviously leading to these people desperately grasping for control over another’s personal life because “they pay their wages”😂. It’s pathetic and archaic lol. I’d recommend these people just enjoy the GAMES while they’re played and then go back to worrying about their own lives when it’s finished lol. Crazy concept, I know.

@Lakesbiggz I agree. He’s allowed to celebrate his birthday. His family and friends made plans to be there for the event. Cancelling for himself is easy but everyone else had to arrange their life to be there to celebrate too. In the grand scheme that is one match in hundreds that he will play in his lifetime. The real question is whether he will shake it all off and perform with quality the next day and all the next matches. If he does that then people won’t care if he went out clubbing

Players don’t get upset by a loss nowadays. They just log onto the banking app to ease their pain. Loyally is rare now. Most Utd players don’t really care about the club. It’s the same at other clubs too. There’s always another payday even if they fail because another club will take them with the hope they reach their possibilities. These players will turn up, do what you say but they won’t do the extra that’s needed at the top. They’ll do the minimum as they aren’t being pushed

Cundy as thick as two short planks. Imagine being incapable of seeing the point Jamie is trying to make. There is blatantly an attitude issue with senior Man Utd players, even with the golden boy Rashford it seems. The article, although invasive into Rashford's private life, does demonstrate a type of behaviour that would imply there is a fundamental issue with mentality at Man Utd.

I once read an article about Bobby Moore and Marin Peters who often went for a pint after the game, it certainly didn't seem to affect their game and will always be 2 of England's greats! in fact I think bobby owned a pub. Problem is nowadays young footballers have no privacy at all, IMO it's no big deal.
