I just bought that LS2 dual sport today. It's pretty nice for Saigon in terms of breathability. My main observation, however, is that the full face makes it trickier to see the speedo, etc.

I just came back from a 2 week solo tour in northern Vietnam with a Tigit rental bike! I bought the Bell MX-9 from them before starting out and it was well worth it for the comfort and safety. Also worth keeping in mind that you are more likely to injure the lower half of your face in a crash. I did come off the bike going 50-60 kph on asphalt and was very glad for that chin protection 😅 I have a bike back home and am very safety conscious so it seems insane to me that novice riders will go to a foreign country with poor road conditions and skimp on the single most important piece of safety equipment. Just buy an ECE certified helmet!

Also used the LS2 rapid. It's hot, but when you're riding on tarmac it will be ok. If you're planning to go offroad better to invest in a more breathable helmet. There is a graph online where you can see which areas are damaged most on helmets and 30% is on the chin area. I always wear full face because of this

I used the LS2 Rapid. It was fine, I didn't find it too hot, but I'm probably just used to wearing full face in hot weather.

Over the last three years in Thailand, I have been wearing a Roof Boxer V8. I only ride with the front swivelled round to the back when riding slowly in the city. As soon as I hit a faster road, I pull the front down, clicking it in place. When I go back to England, I am going to buy a HJC V60 helmet. Good video. I am always staggered at the number of Thais who ride with no helmets... with face masks firmly in place. Lol. Nick J
