Totally agree with u, some people waited 11 months ago for o4 and still nothing happened. Well, after the release of O3 units, Vista did not become cheaper 👌

For night flights the only suitable starlight sensor for the DJI ecosystem are caddx polar cameras which require air unit or vista. I still keep a couple of quads with that setup even though I mostly fly O3 these days. The biggest improvement in O4 would make the polar camera obsolete.

I personally purchased the 03 Air Unit and Goggles Integra just a couple months ago. I had only flown analog before that so you can imagine how happy I am with the 03/Integra. Since I waited so long, I got a GREAT deal on the 03/Integra. I'm also not one who desperately needs the latest and greatest thing. The risk in this line of thinking is that cut-throat companies like DJI stop supporting platforms even less than a year old and offer no backwards compatibility (at least initially) forcing consumers to keep purchasing new and terribly expensive products. I can't stand DJI as a company but I believe they make the best products. I am glad I purchased 03 late in the game and got a better price. I'll probably buy the 04 when 05 is introduced lol. Hey I've flown my drone today for a first time after the HD upgrade. Man this is day and night! What I see in the goggles it's so detailed and so much better! And I'm flying more confident because there is no interference at all! Clear 720p picture alle the time. Awesome. Everyone should switch to HD.​@@Sonic_Ox

Honestly I like the vista more than O3 , for their form factor and less weight, as I didn’t care more about camera quality, so If you would ro sell the vista’s, I’ll be here

Making purchasing decisions on vapor hardware is simple. If you need new hardware now, then buy what's available. Otherwise, if there's no hurry, just wait.

I have 7 quads with 03. 2 with a Vista, runcam wasp and night eagle HD for night ripping.

Walksnail or HDZero + GoPro

Looking a the Avata 2 and Action 4, the image quality is better but not THAT MUCH better like Vista vs O3.

Whens the 04 "expected" to be released?

do you know of any settings to make the O3 work better at night? I like the caddx polar but would like to get the O3 to be a bit lighter for night flying

IMO. I think a probable 04 Air Unit will have the same 1/1.3" sensor as the Osmo Action 4. IMO, the Air Unit 04 onboard recording will be better than any of the GoPro models. I imagine they might improve low light performance over the 03. IMO, I think the 04 Air unit will be $329 or more. I wonder if they will do like the Vista and the Link with the 03? Will they have another brand market and sell the 03 for them? I heard a rumor there will also be a low latency 24ms mode. It's even possible we never get an 04 Air unit.

It's very likely they will patch in 03 support. I bought an Avata 2 kit, taking a gamble on this myself. I'm flying the Avata 2 now while I wait for 03 air support. It's a great learning tool, but I'd imagine experienced pilots would find it boring. By the time I'm ready to push further, hopefully G3'S will have 03 support.

I exactly agree with you Pawel. I just bought O3 number 13 because I need it now and not later and if the O4 is out and is a big enough improvement, I'll sell some O3's to buy new O4's. My advice, always look for some discounts on the O3, I only payed the full price for my first 2 pieces but 11 of them I bought with a discount of 25-50€ a piece. Greetings from Germany 🫡

I don’t think that o3 price will see any significant reduction. Vistas used to cost 130$, price is still the same now. Goggles 2 had a big discounts couple of times. However in the same period, o3 unit did not receive any discounts. I think o4 will cost close to 300$ and DJI does not give a fluff 😃

I wish they would make a new camera for the O3.

Agreed, its not really the transmission system holding O3 back but the camera performance. O4 has a much better camera which would show significant gains on O3.

Make a video for all ur subs to call dji on a daily base. Tell they give us 03 air unit support on the goggles 3. I'm starting today

04 will be better penitration aka range, image can’t get much better

I bet the future O(sth) would very very light😂

I've only been in the hobby for a few months. It's really strange paradigm when DJI is actually not the most expensive set of goggles. Even the latest generation brand new Goggles 3 are like $100-$150 USD cheaper than a set of Walksnail or HDZero. Granted they are not yet unlocked for 03 units. Goggles 2 and Integra are even cheaper. Pricing is much different than I would have guessed as a noob starting out.

I actually switched to HDZero, and I‘m selling all my O3 air units. I was thinking I‘m used to DJI latency and that I don’t feel it at all, but then I switched to Race V3 and Nano90 and was blown away. For „cinematic“, slow shots and cruising O3 is great, but for any action that requires fast movements you will be better off with analog or HDZero.
