Should I take Ivermectin? Safety review - COVID

Should I take Ivermectin? Safety review - COVID == Is Ivermectin a safe medication? Although is it not approved for COVID-19, Ivermectin is being studied and is being prescribed for treatment and prevention. But is it safe? I will review what the FDA says and what I found in the research literature. #ivermectin #safety # covid

I've followed Dr Pierre Kory of the FLCCC since last year. That organisation is very pro Iver mectin. There's a charming interview with a Zimbabwean Dr. Dr Jacky Stone on YT. She describes using it on herself to treat IVM and on poorly educated Africans. It sounds more like a sensible primary healthcare remedy than the jab to me

The big problem with Ivermectin or any long-established or proven drug is that there's very limited profit there for the drug companies! On the other hand, their vaccines have been proven to dramatically improve their fiscal performance!

My personal experience: I became very sick, very quickly (the friend I caught it from did no treatment and she died from the covid infection) and upon positive test my doctor gave me 3mg ivermectin once a day for 5 days. I felt MUCH better the very next day, by 48 hours I was essentially well and have been since. That is hardly a large dose and it turned me around almost immediately. If it's not an outright cure it certainly must be considered an effective treatment. Then I see the demonization of this drug in the news I just have to wonder- just how far are people willing to go to make a profit? Apparently further than I would have previously believed. I thank God my doctor knew about it and was willing to prescribe it to me as there is zero doubt in my mind it turned me around and kept me from further deterioration. I highly recommend using the stuff as soon as you get symptoms or are diagnosed positive.

Because I have a large amount of horses in my program I am constantly asked about ivermectin. I have heard and seen a lot of jokes on the subject and it's really sad to see so many people bashing the drug when it has been a great and safe drug for so many things. Now I'm probably the last person to push a drug because that's why my program works so well without any side effects. I have seen things that traditional therapy and modern medicine couldn't even come close to helping with. I have heard children speak for the first time, watched several people walk for the first time in years and I have witnessed people love themselves who wanted to take their own life. Neither the FDA nor the CDC has exactly inspired confidence throughout this ordeal. While I understand that approvals for off-label use are expensive and time-consuming, the FDA seems to go out of its way to discourage the use of potentially effective, inexpensive treatments. That is disappointing because it is not in the best interests of public health.

@@DrRickKellyCrossroadHealthDPC With all due respect doctor the questions were why must you sign an indemnity form, is the vaccine approved, is the vaccine experimental. We know is not yet approved and still experimental, we also know that many medications were pulled from the market by the FDA in the past which had much lower incidents of serious side effects. We also know that without the indemnity companies would not have released the drug (consider deaths and permanent disability ; from VAERS approaching 30,000 along with nearly 50,000 hospitalization. Israel, the most highly vaccinated country in the world, has a huge increase in both cases and hospitalizations, the vast majority having been vaccinated.

I guess the flies don't like the taste of the cows sweat. We never have worried about getting the Ivermectin on our hands, it won't hurt you. Now with the current situation I have heard of people putting 1cc in their morning coffee as a prevention. I believe it will work with no side effects.

I agree the profit motive sadly is at play here. In addition, in an emergent situation, like a pandemic, clinicians and healthcare professionals do not have the luxury of performing multi year clinical trials. We need to seriously rethink the value of observational data and devise systems for clinicians to share this data in emergent situations. YT and other social media platforms are clearly not suited for this and for various reasons.

This is a huge fundamental flaw in the approval process. As long as the pharmaceutical companies are responsible for running and paying for the approval testing, approval for repurposing of existing off patent drugs will never happen. And prescribing off label opens up doctors and their corporations to a liability that many do not want to risk. Is it any wonder why our health care costs are so high. There needs to be a process change where the FDA bears the burden and takes the initiative to to test off patent drugs for safety and efficacy. I never like to put things like this in the hands of the government but I see no other alternative.

The FDA isn't far from approving the Pfizer vaccine now that they've officially applied... and there's no reason they won't approve it as there's plenty of safety and efficacy data and most of the holdups at this point are related to packaging, labeling, and other logistical minutia. Once it's approved, then what is your argument going to be? You, and your ilk, can't go around calling the FDA liars and fake news but then place the crux of your argument against the vaccines in the "but they're not approved by the FDA" basket.
