Great video - I've been shaving my mustash and goatee area roughly every 3 days and wondered why I have so much hair growth over other parts of my body - now I understand that it is most probably due to the micro abrasions cause by shaving, causing the minox go systemic

+Petter thanks man. If you do shave just make sure you use a sharp razor and dont shave against the direction of growth. So you can still shave but its safer to trim

I'm in my 4th week now. Can I put minox for 3 hours and wash it off or do I need to leave in for 4 hours. They say it leave on for 4 hours and wash off but my schedule is always on the go and time is what I dont have. Will this effect my growth if I leave it in for 3 hours instead?

I’m currently like 6 weeks into minoxidil journey and I only have a solid mustache and a patchy everywhere else that’s why I want to shave or trim. Do you think that’s alright to do?

Adam i saw in a video of spanish beard that we gotta use some suppliment called beard powder so that the velluses will finally come out to grow into terminal and its visible to others as an actual beard .....im hitting my week 11 now and i still have those baby vellus hairs covering my face not going terminal and dark ......now is this anything to worry about or will it change over time :) ?

The Beard Solution and adam one more thing i shaved like at my week 10 mark and i feel bad about it cuzz idk i feel that my gains gains have become Lighter I mean there is hair but my cheeks do look lighter.....that proper stubble look or the thick black hair just isnt popping out....ooh and do you like take off the grown vellus on shaving.....????

+Detox the hair needs to shed to get to terminal. Shaving wont make you lose gains. It can pluck hair if you dont use good technique but the hair will eventually grow back. Obvs vellus grows a lot slower than terminal so when you shave its gonna take longer for the vellus to grow

What I just said. It doesnt make a difference. Shaving or trimming it even if you are 14 wont make it grow... its a mix of homones and time (and minoxidil for some people) that makes it grow.

Yeah... i had to use minox.... guess thats because all the shaving I did didn't make my beard grow... it's almost as if only stupid people think shaving helps beard growth And you dont have a beard. Funny that you say you are not 14 seeing as when you commented on one of my videos recently you claimed to be 14.... hmmmm so unless you have recently had a birthday which would now make you 15... otherwise you are 14. and still wouldn't invalidate my comment in the first place. Is it just a myth that shaving makes the hair grow back thicker? I'm on week 4 now and some of the blonde hairs are turning darker but can't help but to think if I shaved them off they would come back stronger

+Neil vaughan Hi Neil. It is merely an illusion of thickness. Our hair tapers at the ends and is thicker at the base so when we shave or trim all the way down it appears thicker as it comes through. They don't come back stronger either maturation is more of a question of time than anything else. Hope this answers your question.

I suffer from a lack of it all the time... easy to slip into. one thing you can do once the vellus get longer is dye them but it fades rather quickly ( if you see my dyeing video from a week ago you will see how much it has faded already) good luck with your journey brother!

Hi guys! I'm a subscriber and is also on my minoxjourney! I sometimes trim and sometime shave. Don't you think it is possible that close skin shaving with razor boosts the blood circulation in the face, which should be a good thing for growth? Just like those dermarollers? And also, if you allow the beard to grow out a bit, is it not possible that a lot of the minox stays out in the hair and dryes, instead of sinking into the skin? That is the main reason I shave, to ensure that the whole dose of minox sinks into the skin and follicles. But I've just decided to let it grow for the whole of July just to see how the gains looks for the moment :D Good luck guys, beard on and keep posting those videos! Cheers!

Jochen Newbeach Hi Jochen. You raise some valid points! The longer the hair the less absorption as more will dry on the hairs so it is better to trim right down imo but we sometimes need to let it go to observe our progress. I have shaved a few times and seen no issues personally. However as you pointed out its very much like the dermaroller as it causes micro abrasions on the face ... but again thats why we wait 24 hours after rolling to apply again to avoid complications as a result of the side effects. But yeah its down to each persons personal preference to be honest. Each journey is a personal one. Thanks for subscribing and beard on brother!

+Daman Bagh Bagh no. It needs to shed and be replaced with a thicker hair. That takes time and there is no know way to speed it up. Not shaving. Not trimming. Nothing. It takes as long as your body decides
