I hardly listened to this sister Dr.Haifaa but this talk is excellent. Each word is 100% true and I wish women of masjid I go for tarawe listen to this. It's a trend nowadays for those with small kids to give their phone as an entertainment to the child so she can pray, without realizing that people praying get distracted. I love kids but we are human and it's really hard to concentrate when children mess around. May Allah guide us❤☝️🤲

Frankly, this could be corrected if more fathers took the children to the men's side. There should be an even distribution, rather than the tiny women's side getting packed with all the women who want to pray and all their children. Importantly--children should always be welcome in the masjid! They should play and laugh and run around there! But they should be spread to both sides evenly.

A woman's prayer in her house, even if it is offered alone, is better and brings a greater reward than her prayer in the mosque, even if it is offered in congregation. This is indicated by many hadiths from the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him).

It's not better, nor does it bring greater reward than her prayer at the masjid. It's the equal to praying at the masjid, but ofcourse, the process of going to the masjid itself, as in every step she takes towards the masjid, will bring her more deeds. What the Dr. Says here is that it is not permissable to gossip and practice improper manners in the masjid. This applies to men as well.

Thank you for the reminder to disconnect from my phone and not making Taraweeh a social function, it has definitely happened some days.. i am a revert and I find comfort going to the masjid, i have no close friends or family that are Muslim except my husband. In the previous years before I converted i would be so lonely and resentful when my husband attended taraweeh alone but now it is something we do together and brings us closer to Allah and to eachother. Taking our toddler and allowing her to see the masjid is a fun place and a safe place is so valuable to me (we have a spare room for mothers with small children to play and pray so we dont disturb anyone) If you have the right intentions and if it brings you closer to Allah then i think going to the masjid will be rewarding In Sha Allah

The prophet saw advised the Sahabah not to prohibit women from going to Mosque. From this we can understand that going to the mosque can be helpful for some women. Everyone has a different situation they are facing and alhamdulillah Allah certainly is all knowing. In my observation, I do see the wisdom though of encouraging women to pray at home as they tend to invite fitnah when they go to the mosque. Where im from, eventhough we are a Muslim country and receive basic islamic education from the age of 7 to 17 years old in schools, people now still have to create awareness about how women who come to the mosque need to adhere to basic etiquettes like cooperating with one another to keep the saf straight and filled properly, not to dress up in clothes that are eye catching and wearing perfume that may entice the opposite gender, to mind their children who can get unruly and disturb others ect. Going to the mosque for women it seems is not as straightforward an affair as they are for men. I too find great solace in going to the mosque but I'm also at peace when I worship at home, alhamdulillah. May Allah bless u and your family, keep us steadfast in our Deen and gather us all in jannah, ameen ❤.

Aamiine, absolutely agree and all the mosques should have separate rooms for socializing, for children and a nursery (why not??). The mosques used to be a socializing political ("polis"/city affairs management) area. Let us absolutely respect its sanctuarity while not loosing that. This is a pillar of our local Umma and it should include women, elders, and children with appropriate activities and time for it inshaAllah.

Same goes for hijab. Wearing hijab inside masjid is as if Allah SWA is only in masjid and not everywhere outside? Logic is not used anymore.

Everything you talk about is happening nowadays in the mosque, which is sad to see. We have teenagers using the mosque as a place to socialise, even smoking in the toilets whilst parents pray Taraweh, ladies talking throughout - catching up with friends when the Imam translates his khutba into English. All very sad and disappointing to see.

Masha Allah, barak Allah fik! ❤ So balanced and useful! This year I didn’t go to the masdjid, even my concentration is not so good at home. So you took the pressure from me to feel like a "unpious" person. But it is so caotic in our very very small masdjid, women don’t want to fill up the rows, when someone leaves, so there are holes! (row is just 7,max 8 persons) others put their chairs in the middle, everywhere, even when the imam says behind, and there are no more rows at all, behind the chair on the left are some women, behind on the right some other, but not at all in a same row. Every woman has a carpet bling bling in colours and cloths bling bling in colours, I am hyperstimulated, and there are always remarks like: this day you were there, this day not, (I don’t come for ostentation!) and finally I don’t sleep the h whole night because of this ...

Salam aleykoum, many thanks for this conference. I would like to hear also about the fact that most of the time women are in a room separated from the men prayers' room and they can not see the imam who would be able to educate them. The imams, for exemple, never give directions to women just before salat to explain how they should be placed in the praying room (by lines, and sticked to each other). It is up to imams to give good directions to women, imams are supposed to take care of ALL their disciples. And last but not least, in this difficult time we humans are in majority touched by djinns so our behavior is badly influenced. May Allah send His Salvation to all the muslims, men and women.

And the women from Arab countries are particularly bad and I have asked them to be quiet because I want to hear. If they want to talk, please go out of the mosque and I would like to hear what the Iman is saying, but they carry on talking anyway, they have no manners. Some come with their children. The children cry, scream, chat during prayer, the cell phones ring over and over again. Mostly the women are from Arab countries. Disrespectful in the house of Allah. It is very sad! May Allah swt give us Hedayah, Ameen. 🇩🇪

Praying trawee at mosque the men get rewarded for listening to the full quran. What about the woman how is she rewarded cuz most women are not hafizas so they cant recite the full quran in their trawees when at home. I love the idea of woman reading at home for convenience. @@Safa-pj6rl May ALLAH reward you, sister. There is no doubt that one will feel more connected if they understand the Quraan, but it is not allowed to read through a mushaaf or phone during the salaah, even if its to connect with it. It may be a good idea to spend some time in the day to read through the translation before the upcoming taraweeh, that way we'll still have an idea what we're listening to.

These days our generation of children are steering away from The religion. Taking your children and wife to Masjed teaches your kids importance of the Masjed.

@aamenakalla2568 It's a biddat of umar ibn al khataab. In the time of prophet it was never prayed as sunnah. Even prophet performed it alone as a nafal. Todays muslims are only following biddats and feeling proud on it.

Maybe that’s why it was said that it’s better for women to pray at home since they just cannot control their urge to talk and socialize. I stopped going to the masjid because it was too distracting, they will make you switch spots after every namaz, kids running around, water and coffee spilling and non stop chatting. This is also the case with Eid address I couldn’t understand a word the imam was saying because women will be talking. Laughing, taking pics it’s soooo sad 😞 I stopped going for EId as well cuz felt it was just so disrespectful that u can’t hear a word the imam is saying

No, don't bring your own biases into Islam. Women are not animals without self control, any more than men are animals without self control.

If Allah didn’t want women to come to the masjid he would have forbidden it as he knows the best and he knew what women will do in the masjid. People also have Quran apps on the phone

I think it depends on your situation. For some people, going to the mosque encourage them to pray and they may listen to much more Quran than if they stay at home. In other situations, home may be more indicated.

There is no such prayer as Taravih. Some of the sahaba saw him doing tahajjud when he was doing itikaf and wanted that reward also but later on it caught on as a special ramadan prayer after the passing of ResulAllah, there are lots of hadith about this from the sahaba too.But what will people say"This what we saw from our forefathers",just as the mushrikin said in the Quran.Allah says"I have perfected this religion" you can't add anything to something that is perfect or you just dont beleive Allah did a good job,Tawba estaghfurullah.
