I think this may be subjective to one’s gut microbiome! I normally used to eat a ton of white rice & chicken prior to this hemorrhoid. I followed the popular advice to increase fiber intake with Metamucil & natural sources. At first, it seemed softer, but still very bulky like my body did not digest it properly. It slowly got less & less bulky as my gut biome seemed to adjust, & is still very soft. I do believe that more than 1 glass of Metamucil a day is excessive though, when I drink more than that, I poop way too much & get irritated hemorrhoids (in combination with high fiber fruits n veggies like banana & carrots & whole grain breads/quinoa)

Hey doc. Thank you for your work. I have 2 anal fistulas and about to be scheduled for a surgery about eight months ago I was at 380 pounds and I had DVT and pulmonary embolism so I cut out almost all carbs out of my diet. I basically start eating carnivore diet with little bit of vegetable here there and fruit. Mostly my vegetables are fermented or cooked. what do you think about keeping eating high fat and protein diet post surgery because I don’t really want to change my diet because I lost over 100 pounds in eight months. I’m terrified of a surgery but what needs to be done is needs to be done. I know this is not medical advice, but just a comment. Thanks for your reply.

I take so much of that everyday trust me the pain u can get from the first time of it trying to come out is hell so let that stuff. Do the job. Don't strain push or anything just let it happen. I wear adult diapers and yes it pooped myself but it just came out no pain. I suggest shower afterward wiping could be very pain ful. Also use wet wipes instead regular toilet paper. Keeps it better clean.

If your fissure doesn’t get healed with the ointments within 1 month, FORGET ABOUT IT EVER GETTING HEALED AND DONT WAIT ANY LONGER ! It can turn into an abscess and cause an infection. I thought I was doing good using wet wipes?it says 99 percent water.I'm also, bed ridden.sometimes now my skin gets irritated but I think its because of my stained pad I use.after I go to bathroom I clean myself. But I guess the stain left over makes my skin irrated. Pllus, sometimes when I clean myself,I will fart and my taint I believe its called hurts few a few seconds. But,that's on occasion. I'm clean.but, aren't these wipes safe?id hate to think I'm making it worse.I hate tiolet paper.but,I will go back if this is dangerous.now I just heard about water wipes, suppose to protect microbiome. I did this operation and it’s painful too poop it’s extremely painful lucky for me my metabolism is fast so far I’m not struggling to poop although it’s painful. I advise people to eat food with a lot of fibre but very small portions and drink lots of water if can buy aloe Vera juice from Holland & Barrett it’s very helpful. For me anyway the operation didn’t stop me from eating or poo 😂😂
