Should I do a clerkship at a law firm? Clerkship application process

My goal is to create videos and guides to help students and junior lawyers make informative decisions on their careers - whether it is the realities of studying law or surviving in a law firm.
I also touch on topics such as employment opportunities, career growth and further education (for example languages).
Once a law student myself, I am now an international lawyer in #BigLaw sharing with you some info on clerkships.
If you're a law student you're likely considering whether you should do a clerkship in your penultimate year of the law degree.
In this video, I give insights and some tips on:
1. 0:00 Why someone might want to do a clerkship and why its useful
2. 9:44 Whether your grades play an important role in the selection process
3. 12:25 How many applications you should submit and to which law firms
4. 15:22 Clerkship networking events
5. 19:36 How your law school law society can help
22:31 Finally, remember that clerkships are not the be all end all of your career as a future lawyer and there are other ways to enter private practice even if you don't end up completing a clerkship.
You can buy me a coffee through the LINK Below - to keep me going so I can create more videos and guides to help more students and young lawyers with their careers.

Hello Julie, I have watched quite a number of your videos and I must say I love them. But do you have any videos on funding the JD as an international student? Can you tag me if you have any

thank you for your kind words! I was a local student in Australia so unfortunately dont have much info on the funding side for international students. There must be scholarships or other types of funding available.
