hey guys! thanks for this video! i have 3 cards that i consider somewhat trophy cards. they technically hit the criteria, would you say they are trophy cards? PSA10 Meli Pikachu Art Academy Contest Winner BGS10 Lilly Extra Battle Day Winner BGS10 Acerola Extra Battle Day Winner some people don't consider these cards trophy cards but then i get confused about what the criteria is for a trophy card

@@ga1actic_muffin I personally would define any card that is given to someone for winning or competing in either a players tournament or an art contest a trophy card. However different high end collectors might have different more specific criteria

@@pokenomics thanks for your response! I have always wanted to own a trophy card, I'm glad I can atleast consider 3 of my cards that :D

Psa 9's for unimportant holo's I enjoy and Psa 10 whenever I can on the higher end sought after cards.

How about PSA 7 and 8s? It appears they have also been increasing in value as people are priced out of 9s and 10s. Would love to hear a video on lower graded Holos.

If I can snag a 10 for cheap sure, but for me 9's can't be differentiated by the naked eye. I just don't believe that a 10 deserves the 3-5x price premium that comes with it lol.

For those who can’t afford 10’s it’s a depressing situation, owning anything below feels like a put down

I remember when I bought my first psa card like it was yesterday! It was so exciting:)

Psa 9s IMO are great buys value wise. Gem mint 10s are wayyy to expensive . Ive sent 50 cards pack fresh pulls and I got around 7 cards graded at GM10

Had to come back to this video, really struggling to accept i should go for 9s over 10s.10s can be silly money within my means. And in my eyes you can't really notice the difference in a slab or on display if it's a 9 over a ten. It really is a mental game 😅 I want to keep the cards I collect so i don't mind paying more but I'm not made of money 😅

Im in the same boat. Im leaning toward 9 is still really good and way less money. I think for my personal collection 9 is a great value because I know I still own a very mint card.

You really do have a bunch of great videos on topics in collecting. Personally, I don't value a 10 from a collecting perspective.

Kids: Gambling their money in the hopes of a rare card. Adults: Gambling their money in the hopes of a rare card that's perfectly centred, has no scratches and no whitening on the sides. And that's AFTER the way it's been printed in the factory XD

imo don't forget opinion! 9's are a cash cow in reality because of how many get cracked and sent back and eventually we will see how many there truly are over time, sealed product is an easy investment like you can't actually lose money
