Cody's already a heel. His promo was a humble brag that ended with him going "and I love you all too much to turn" and everyone booed him. His character is 100% delusional heel.

Now that they mentioned it...The Dark Order was guiding the horse into position when they 1st came out. I didn't put 2 & 2 together until now. Damn, AEW is SO GOOD at dropping subtle Chekhov's guns in that pay off when you see the whole picture.

On the way out he kicked the railing into some poor guy. Looks like it got him in the nuts.

Page needs to win. It’s the right time. Wrestling moves so quickly that if you hold it off any longer he could cool down a lot. Plus he has lost to Omega last year and not pinned by Omega in the tag match at Fight For The Fallen. He has taken the loss and it’s time for him to get the win. As for the Cody promo. I believe he genuinely dose not want to turn heel and they are trying to make that into a storyline where the goal is to try and make fans turn around on Cody and cheer him. Interesting concept but I don’t see this being a good idea. But if this is a work and if he starts winning matches with the Tiger Driver ‘98 and then say him and PAC spin off into a feud and Cody hooks the arms and we all go “here we go it’s Tiger Driver time” and he hits the Pedigree and that’s how he turns heel then that would be absolutely masterful. I can’t see that happening though. Maybe the PAC feud part but him actually turning heel? Even though it should happen I don’t think it will.

I don't think Hangman losing would cool him off that much. If you have Hangman kickout of the OWA at 2 and 9/10 at Full Gear, which sends Kenny over the edge and Kenny keeps hitting V-Triggers until the match is stopped. Which would protect Hangman but keep the belt on Kenny. Kenny then beats Danielson, CM Punk, and maybe Cole.. Leading back to Page, which ends in a time limit draw. Then you get back to All Out and Hangman wins, which I think would get him more over. I'm worried if he wins on his first go against evil Kenny, he won't look as unbeatable as if they hold off. I don't think Cody wants to turn heel now, I think he wants to sucker everyone in and then use his EVP power to go back on his never challenging for the title stipulation which he will use to beat Hangman. Which would make him the biggest of heels.

@@rich9684 I get what your saying but Omega has pinned Page twice now. Once at Full Gear last year and the other at Fight For The Fallen in the 5 on 5 match. I think it’s time for Page to win. Omega has had a long run with the title (arguably the best run) and I think it’s time we move on and give Page the title because I think him beating Omega now is where the main interest is. One year after the first match they run it back only this time Omega has found himself and Page has found himself as well but this time the match is for the World title, I think the timing couldn’t be better for a title change personally. Plus the post Full Gear Dynamite is in Hangman’s home town and why wouldn’t you want to open the show with him walking out with the title to a hometown ovation.

I get saying they can’t use the Stay Puft image for the hype packages, but they used “Don’t Know What You Got Til It’s Gone” for their breakup match last year. It was hilarious, but never removed me from being emotionally invested. They’re great at riding that line and I see no reason why they can’t do that here.

Absolutely Page should win at Full Gear. This story has been going on for TWO YEARS now for goodness sake!! And Hangman has failed several times already. Also the PPV is named after him for goodness sake. Hangman NOT winning would be a HUGE blunder on AEW’s part. Also Shida vs. Deeb was awesome. Hopefully they get a match at the PPV as well.

Definitely not Hangman time. He'd do well as TNT champ though. AEW is already struggling with ratings. Slapping the belt on a man with 0 name recognition outside of the AEW hardcore audience would be insanely foolish. We all know Bryan needs to hold the title for everyone else to keep their job.

@@OWlsfordshire not a good take at all. The only reason AEW ratings have suffered is because of the time/day shifts due to the NHL bullcrap. Before that they were getting some of the highest ratings they've gotten, and on a consistent basis. And Hangman is over af. At this point all the possible new fans you could get are already watching and they know how important Hangman is. It's his time and the majority of fans will rejoice it

It was definitely an Invisible Man costume. Darby had the bandaged face and sunglasses on at first. Inspector Gadget's coat is dark grey, not tan.

Number 10 being so dominant at Dark and Elevation just made his squash that more shocking.

I love how Kenny is so cartoony of a villain that after the show the you could see him yelling “Drat!”

My only concern is whether he has already cooled so much that he can't win the title. I love Omega, he's been my fav wrestler for years, but his reign has gone on too long now and gotten stale. But Hangman seems to have lost his steam. Maybe it would be better to rebuild his reputation over the next year, during a Cody reign.

@@GeraldM_inNC How has he lost steam? Every single time he's come out he's had a massive pop, especially when he returned at the ladder match. Hangman hasn't cooled off in the slightest.

Just a couple of thoughts when it comes to the impact\ aew partnership ending supposedly. I don't mind it. This may be an unpopular opinion but it's just the way I feel is Kenny's belt collector story started out with potential but I feel like it was a flop. And kinda just ended. Remember how everyone was celebrating at the idea of Kenny being the belt collector and how much possible dream matches could happen but what actually happened was Kenny went to impact derailed alot of storylines and beat impacts top stars and didn't even lose the title on impact or impact ppv or to an impact star. Again just my opinion but I feel like Josh Alexander's title win would've ment more if he'd beaten the outsider Kenny. As for the supposed controversy over the main event. It was a little fun. Lighten up people. It's Halloween week. Yep I do understand if people didn't like it but you could give the wrestling fans the greatest product ever and they'd still find something to complain about. Fun show

Comedy has always been a part of wrestling, I absolutely loved it.

Haven't watched dynamite yet but I've seen the results which is fine. Sounded like another solid show I'll catch it in my own time. As for why I'm here. I'm just here to give a thumbs up. As for the question in the title of the video. I say yes hangman should win. I think it's the right time. It would be nice to see hangman with the Championship in his hometown the dynamite after full gear.

With the Danielson promo, I actually felt the opposite way, like he went too far as a baby face by saying Eddie didn’t work hard and he was trying to backpedal a little bit because he was saying “That’s the Eddie Kingston I want to see”, like he was trying to stay the good guy

The Curious Case of Cody Rhodes. There's a Curtain Call level paradigm shift happening in slow motion that Freud would even have trouble explaining. Fans are so split on Cody and I don't think that either side is able to articulate why, which is why Cody, himself, seems so delusional about the whole thing.

Also btw when The Elite low blows the first guy you can see 'Stay Puft' shaking the referee trying to wake him up the entire time before he gets on the ring apron.

One thing I noticed when the Super Elite had their first promo segment after Adam Cole joined, Adam praised everyone in the faction except for the Good Brothers (and Brandon and Michael). In other words, I totally agree that Cole is going to be a virus within the group that could eventually break them up.

I don’t get why people find it so amazing that MJF gets away with the stuff he says, what’s the difference between MJF saying Brian Pillman in hell and Randy Orton saying that Eddie was in hell? Why is one moment condemned and the other thought of as an amazing heel heat moment?

Anyone who thinks Hangman should lose at Full Gear is out of their minds. You strike while the iron is hot. You don't put it off and on and off and on hoping it stays hot for long enough to do it later

I don't really see what elongating this story even more than it already has been would add to it. Like yeah Omega and Okada was that long but the length isn't what made it good and it's not what would make Hangman finally winning good either.

People definitely hate fun

The whole point of the Cody promo was to admit to his faults, that's why he came out with athlete clothing instead of a suit. It's a part of the larger narrative of how he let the outside ventures take him away from the wrestling. He then points to the wrong narrative people have of him which is mistaken (Cody puts over talent more times than a lot of other people (exception Anthony)). He then apologizes to everyone in his life and his trainees in letting them down. It felt like a better promo than we've seen in a long time. I think what has hurt Cody more than anything is that it feels like a separation from the rest of the show. How is Cody going to be a strong character when he interacts with these up and coming characters. Kenny is having matches with big names and Cody is feuding with people like QT. Malakai is the first big name Cody has feuded with in a long time.

Yes. His booking has felt very disconnected from AEW booking. I understand he was one of the draws with AEW when it started, I didn't see him outside of WWE, so tuning in to AEW I was excited to see him on the regular. For me, with years of WWE TSD, I just saw the guy that gets to do whatever he wants because he's a smooshy exec (HHH vibes) and I was turned off. Compared to how the rest of the talent was booked. I don't know, I'm sure I sound dumb. I was behind the 8-ball on him (and the rest of the Elite) because I never knew to look elsewhere beyond WWE. So, I haven't been watching and seeing his progression since he left WWE

People started booing Cody because of Malakai. Fans don't want boo Malakai, Adam Cole, Miro... They want them to succeed in AEW so they think they can't be heels. Keeping this feud with malakai it's just making things worse, just end it. Put malakai against MJF, people want to cheer him. AEW is having a problem without having real nasty heels, but malakai isn't the answer. Andrade is a good heel, don't mix him with the black.

Moxley is winning the tournament in the same way omega did, first match was a squash

Main event was great. And i dont see how anyone can be against it.

Cody is a genius. So many people have been flip flopping, shaking their head and the catalyst that will be the reveal of his heel turn will be him hitting a pedigree. This sas a move for months including his show. There is absolutely no way he is that obvious. By the end of this people will realize how special this was.

I think that while the page reveal was great, it would have been so much better if page was behind kenny instead of matt

The story line actually makes sense. Hangman's break away from the Elite really started with Matt Jackson and their growing tensions. It was Matt who got on Hangman's case about his drinking and he was the one that screamed at Hangman and kicked him out of the Elite, not Kenny. Kenny didn't turn on Hangman. Hangman was kicked out and wondering aimlessly when Kenny turned heel. He didn't attack Hangman at any point until after they were set to face each other. In their first match against each other Kenny was still a babyface.

I don't know how you guys missed the point of Cody's promo so badly. He never asked he crowd to cheer him (at least not directly), he essentially said 'You can cheer (pause for the small group of fans who still like him), you can boo (everyone else boos), but I will not turn.' I enjoy these review shows but sometimes y'all really need to pay more attention.

Cody knows exactly what he is doing. I think this is all apart of the character. He is a super babyface intended to run people in a heel way. Intentionally over doing it. I love this character so much. It’s perfect for the time.

The problem with Hangman not winning and Full Gear is the time will come where if he isn't already world champion, he will be left behind. I love Hangman and I'm totally invested in him vs. The Elite. But think about all the people who have come into the company. Like it or not Cole, Punk, Mox, MJF, Jungle Boy will all get the AEW World Championship. Mox is at the top of his game. Another and longer world title reign in on the horizon and he deserves it. And with ROH closing down, you know some of their top stars will pop up in AEW and some will sign. The longer you wait on Hangman, the less excitement, and believability it will be that he eventually beats Kenny. Kenny is already the longest reigning AEW world champion. Hangman has to be the one to dethrone Kenny Omega. And let Omega to go off and feud with Adam Cole. They can tear the house down for 6 months. Then you can revisit Hangman vs Kenny, but this time Hangman is World champion and leader of Dark Order. And that's the other thing! We need this story to end at Full Gear with Dark order aiding Hangman and him accepting his leadership of Dark Order after winning The AEW World Championship

If Hangman loses to Omega. AEW 100% drops the ball with it.

Some of the best wrestling to me is the wrestling that embraces the absurdity of the business while telling a good story. Austin vs McMahon was full of it and AEW continually seem to be doing it right, unlike a certain other company who just have *checks notes* talent eaten by zombies.

I disagree with Oli because if Hangman loses the match, all that fan support that he has, will be gone and you will kill his momentum dead in its tracks.

The reason why the main event was so divisive is because staunch AEW fans perpetuate the idea that AEW is pro wrestling and WWE is sports entertainment and that fans want pro wrestling, yet when AEW do something that is clearly over the top sports entertainment style stuff like this and stadium stampede, the fans will not acknowledge it and just talk about how fun and entertaining it was. It’s hypocritical. Just admit that WWE is sports entertainment (usually bad or boring) and AEW is a different type of sports entertainment that, as a positive, has more in ring time.

On that Cody topic (37:29 ) I'd say: yeah it's not good if they (commentary and management) are trying to shove a nereatovw done viewers throats while the audience isn't having it (case and point Roman Reigns face run). But here, Coplsy at the time of delivery of this promo isn't a management but a wrestler and saying all this himself (not commentary or TK)....to me to feels more like his growing delusions around himself (well, hopefully) and that's what's gotten me more interested in what Cody will do next (I might be absolutely wrong but I'd hope to think I'm not atm.)

I think it’s possible that Cody could be delusional, but I don’t think that AEW as a whole or Tony Khan would be. That makes me think it is intentional and Cody is going to turn heel.

My opinion on the main event changes based on what AEW's goals are. If AEW wants to be the premier independent wrestling company, the main event was great. If AEW wants to be the premier wrestling company overall, the main event was garbage.

Page doesn't HAVE to win at FG. AEW are smart enough to book either Omega and Page to win and make the match and the aftermath good viewing
